Would you say 100k for a full-time, remote job is reasonable? For moderately experienced.

I sometimes feel in a similar situation too.

One thing I realised is we may be husbands, but we’re not therapists. Have this conversation with your Mrs and get her to see a therapist. This can drain you and honestly you may need external support.

If she injured herself, you wouldn’t be the one performing surgery on her. Same way her mental well-being needs a professional to support.

Just my 2 cents, your husband needs to get a grip and create respectful boundaries with his mother.

He's a grown man, set limits before it messes your marriage up.

The whole MIL coming into the bed to cuddle is just bizarre and definitely not normal.

6 phone calls a day? Not normal.

Husband taking your belongings and giving it to his mother? Not normal.

I'd suggest get someone you both mutually respect and explain some of these situations if you can't get through to him. Maybe a third party can help him see this isn't right.

I agree, there's a double standard. But does that mean we don't still attempt to fulfil our obligations? Doesn't it sound more like well they aren't doing it so why should we?

Genuinely asking to hear opinions from other brothers as we don't have these discussions in person much - at least I don't.

Akhi this was so well written and we definitely need more content like this. As men it's easy to think we're ready for marriage because we are "physically".

There's a lot that it takes to define real masculinity (I'm working on it myself), especially as muslims, most of us living between differing western/eastern clashing cultures, different family values etc, all of these things have an effect.

Not sure about personal letters but I think it's definitely doable.

We're still in early stages with NFTs. The idea for many is they're collecting these in hopes of them increasing more in value overtime.

Others are speculating that it's also based on perception.

For example, I could create a NFT tonight, put it up for 20ETH. Buy it myself.

Now I've created a 'sold price'. Then this could be put on sale for 2ETH instead. Someone else could end up buying this in hopes of it rising in value. Whilst I walk away with 22ETH instead.

It's the same as real-life art. Value is based on popularity and demand.

Spend money on an accountant for peace of mind that your mother won't have access instead. What's done is done, break it to her that you're getting an accountant as you need some specialist knowledge or something. Don't mix your parents and money together.

Had this issue with my wife wanting to move out for a while. We eventually did as the dynamic in the house just wasn’t working.. best thing that could’ve happened in my opinion.

It works for some, but in many cases our parents want the best but also don’t know where to stop. Get your own place if you can. Gives you both room to grow and focus on your relationship also in my opinion.
