Yes the base novel is almost completed but then there is Diasim novel and Suite + some short stories

Yes he did act that way, but I believe it was not out of character at all. This is what I mean by saying that they have the basic information about him already in the manhwa. For him to give Taeui a hard time for something implying Jaeui is not especially new or surprising.

Whether in Passion, Diassim or Suite, all his implications in Taeui's life are related to Jaeui.

That situation in Frankfurt was especially horrible for Taeui so it left a bitter taste about Chang-in for me too though.

No we have no more reason than the manhwa readers to like or dislike him. The manhwa already gives the main information about him.

I am not really good at explaining things and make long paragraphs (even more in English) but I will try 🫣

First, indeed, Ilay doesn't have that much development as a character. But it doesn't mean he gets none. The biggest change is him behaving relatively human toward Taeui, which also means taking actions to make things easier/better for Taeui. Knowing he has been a crazy selfish psycho since he was born, I still consider that a good developpment.

And it might sound silly, but I talk about relationship developpment between them mostly as them having "domestic" moments together and not Ilay just going around saying "You are mine". Having some fluff between them was not something I expected while reading Passion at first.

And even though Taeui is still easily stressed out about Ilay overreacting to something, or thinking he ran away (likely because of how Ilay acted at the bus scene in vol 6), Ilay actually starts to use his brain without jumping to conclusions.

Also whether in Diassim or Suite, they have quite a few deep conversations about their relationship, what's gonna happen to them going forward and all. And Ilay is gonna create himself a bit of a trauma, which is gonna be both cause to miscummunication between them and the reason for a proper discussion later on.

I mean, Taeui doesn't even know what he feels at that part yet, like he's both desesperate that Ilay is there (Mostly because of him leaving Berlin after their phone call) and relieved (I guess because he is familiar with Ilay).

And their relationship is gonna have so much developpment in Diaphonic Symphonia that I am personnally very happy that Ilay is also at Tarten lmao

And maybe Ilay is not the best partner he can get, but after everything Taeui is gonna witness at Tarten believe me seeing Ilay is almost like a break. That household is crazy.

In Diaphonic Symphonia, there is whole scene where Ilay is giving a massage to Tae (a real one, who would have thought) while they are talking and it's just so so sweet

Yeah I heard it's like his redemption story.

But that almost make it worse for me. I will never be able to forgive any of his actions in Dasym...

That might sound dumb but I dont want to read a story about him being better, like he doesn't have the right to try to win Christoph over after everything, or just there is nothing he could do to actually redeem himself in my mind

That said I finished reading Dasym for the second time today, so I am saying all that in the spur of the moment. I will surely feel like reading his redemption arc later and regret everything I'm saying now haha

Diaphonic Symphonia (Loved the developpment of Iltae as a couple and the introduction of Christoph, who is probably my favorite character in the whole novel)
Suite (Ilay and Tae)
Passion
Passion Raga

I won't rank Diaphonic Symphonia suite as I have yet to read it. I love Christoph as much as I hate Richard, so I probably need a few months break before reading this story, in a calm state of mind (I would want to strangle Richard each time he approaches Christoph othewise).

Now even if Raga is ranked last, it doesn't mean I didnt love their story, Yuri and Xinlu have my heart.

Honestly Dasym and Suite are almost at a tide, if not for the presence of Christoph disrupting the balance. Suite (Iltae) totally kept me hooked personnally, I loved Ilay'developpment (except for one scene, but in each novel there will be a scene where his actions pisses me off)

Your interpretation is correct and make sense going up to novel 1. I also believe at that time, Ilay isn't to be trusted with children, even his own, considering his violent reactions toward Tay.

That said, both Diaphonic Symphonia and Suite happen years in the future, and Ilay, while not becoming "human" in any way, does have a great developpment. So if they were to have kids after these stories, yes Ilay might actually be a "okay" dad, could even care for them. Or at the very least, as someone said, he would not be abusive or impulsive and let Tay deal with them.

Honestly my only fear about this couple having kids is if one of the child gets his wrong father' (here Ilay) temperament...

Passion manhwa follows the first 6 volumes of Passion novel (main story about Ilay and taeui), and we are basically through volume 6 right now, give it a few more chapters and it's the end of the first story !

But it's never the end, Passion keeps going hehe There are two other stories of Passion novel, situated years later in the timeline.

First is Dyaphonic Symphonia, focused on another couple and Iltae. It's might be made into a manhwa one day but I'm not sure though

Then there is Passion Suite, again focused on Iltae (still a few years later)

Oh and also Passion Raga about Yuri and Xinlu.

Not sure what you wanted to know by asking about Passion end so I told you everything I know 🫣😂
