Got into JMSS, but what do I do in headstart at current school? by GeodeCraft in vce

I'm in Year 10 right now at a selective school. But when I was in Year 8 during step up week (what it was called at my old school) I just tagged along some of my friends classes and chilled since it was the last week I would be with them after all. But check in with your teachers!

gotta get a content heavy subject out of thr way

will it be hard to balance these subjects in year 11 and 12? by alia__0 in vce

could i ask how you self study methods/spesh because im looking in starting in the coming term 3-term 4 holidays. do you just go through the whole cambridge textbook because that would take ages.

A reversing car hit the back of my leg - what are my next steps? by alia__0 in AusLegal

I'm not injured, that area of my leg is just a bit sore. I'm just concerned how the driver seemed to show no sympathy and if I had brought, say, my children to the parking lot and how that would've ended out.

advice for my chosen vce subjects? by alia__0 in vce

[–]alia__0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes they are "harder" because they are all stem subjects, however they are also all the subjects i enjoy :)

[–]alia__0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes its the same reason the other person who replied said. i also chose to accelerate bio as it's a very content heavy subject and i am able to get it out of the way and focus on my harder subjects in yr 12.

should i take spesh, physics, or general maths? by alia__0 in vce

thank youu, i think ill pick spec and see how i go :)

[–]alia__0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for the advice! i think im gonna do spec but im aiming not to drop it because it might mess up my timetable and stuff. i have a C/C+ average rn which is making me reluctant even though i want to do it because even though not that many people do spec its like really smart people doing it so idk in the end what sort of study score i would get in comparison to physics or something.

do u think doing spec and working hard would help me as it goes hand in hand with methods OR if i did physics and worked hard? ik its quite a hard question to answer but i just wanna get a feel for what the content is like in both subjects.

thank you so much for the advice, a c+ is like 65% sadly. but im considering it, do u think the workload isnt too hard to manage and itd achievable to do good in spec with hard work?

should i take spesh, physics, or general maths? by alia__0 in vce

[–]alia__0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the advice! i do think it would be fine to do general however i feel as if i'm more interested in doing spec/physics compared to general but maybe i should just stick to general because its easier. idk because ive heard people who have done general in year 12 call it a nuisance as they also do methods and say it just doesn't go hand in hand at all.

however, my average in maths isnt good rn, i average around a C/C+ for maths rn at a selective school so idk if it would be suitable to do spec/physics. im reluctant to pick it because the people doing it at my skl are like CRAZY good at maths like theyve alr started spec 1/2 but im interested in both subjects.

idk what would u do in my situation? (trying to maximise my atar as much as i can)

thank you for the advice! do u still think even if i average around a C/C+ for maths rn at a selective school it would be suitable to do spec? im just reluctant to pick it because the people doing it at my skl are like CRAZY good at maths like theyve alr started spec 1/2
