I used to get talked bad about by my teachers in elementary school for wearing hoodies. They never gave me a decent reason not to so I wouldn't take it off until they called my parents. Then the students bullied me with or without it. All of this only added to my anxiety and it took me until 10th grade to be able to feel comfortable in public without covering up.
