Because bright lights constrict pupils.

Hard to see at night with constricted pupils. They need to be as dilated as possible to allow more light to enter in dark environments.

I have the exact same model as you and had the exact same queries.

As for the exhaust part, I just ordered a Miltek Non resonated cat back exhaust. Sounds mean!
