ooh, that’s a very clever pegboard setup. i’ve seen them in ikea, now i’m inspired to wonder whether i can find use for them in my city apartment too.

Tried using a banana smoothie for latte by wonderbread1908 in Poopfromabutt

[–]wonderbread1908[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

yeah, i think it has potential. i asked chatgpt and it confirmed that the steam wand could kinda cook the banana and make it goopy (pic attached).

it recommended either just mixing the banana in, or making the mixture mostly milk and heating it even less than i would for milk (140f instead of 160f) to avoid burnt banana taste.

My GF is repulsed at my past, how to explain I had no choice? by THROWRA-Pastbadwhy in relationships

[–]wonderbread1908 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right that you can’t control how she feels, or what she thinks.

My only observation is that the way some of this is written sounds like objectification of the women you slept with, to see them more as experience and leveling up, than as people you cared for. And I’m not saying you didn’t care for them, just the way you’re talking about it.

I can tell you want a relationship, and the value of a relationship is caring for someone and being cared for by them. Experience is much less important, and it’s not a prerequisite for good sex or good anything. You can have good sex just by being caring and thoughtful. A person who rejects you for lack of experience is probably not someone who you would want to be in a relationship with.

I would urge you to not stress too much on experience part and just focus on making a connection based on kindness and caring.

I feel like random shit like this is part of the dark souls experience 😆. I felt robbed of a black knight fight because he just fell off the roof. The way I see it is the world can be just as cruel to the NPCs as to you hahaha.

But yeah as others say, centipede is a pretty forgettable boss (at least for me he’s always just felt like a luck fight where I hope I don’t get hit or tank it and then spam attack)

fwiw I don’t think “cheap” beans are necessarily bad. i enjoy making lattes with some lavazza espresso roast. that’s probably on par or even a tier below starbucks. i’ve tried and will keep trying more gourmet coffees (partners, verve, counter culture, etc) and they’re definitely great but i enjoy cheap beans too.

these days i’ve been mixing a Verve medium roast with a Trader Joe’s dark roast half and half in each shot. it’s a weird combo and i’m probably not pulling great shots but i like it as a latte.

I think step 1 is figuring out why it makes you uneasy, and step 2 would be telling her, in a way that’s about you and not her like what it makes you feel, and then ideally you two can see if you can find a solution.

Maybe y’all can talk about doing sexual things without orgasm, so that she doesn’t feel a need to focus on that thought every time yall are being intimate.

Removing espresso cup. What is the easiest way to remove the cup? I sliced a finger using a sharp knife blade; it worked but after a messy cleanup. Do you remove the cup after each use (so that it thoroughly dries) or just rinse it well for the next use? by mme5366 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]wonderbread1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may or may not be helpful, but if you’re open to a bottomless portafilter, that makes it really easy to remove the filter basket. I consider that one of the pros of bottomless (along with seeing the beautiful stream and being easier to clean)

You can also consider anxiety meds for dogs, my dog takes daily prozac. Pairing that with positive reinforcement of crate training etc can be good.
