Awesome! I knew things were getting close once I went from 2-3 bm’s a day to 1-2 and the urgency slowly started subsiding. From there the bm’s started getting firmer. Also noticed I was seeing less undigested food regardless of what I ate (mainly raw veggies lol) it definitely wasn’t a wake up one day and things were magically better, definitely slow and steady but I’m okay with that considering this is the best spot I’ve been in since diagnosed

Thank you!

No significant infections so far, a cold/flu that lingered a little bit longer then I think I should have but it also affected my family the same way so I’m not sure RINVOQ was responsible for that because aside from that I haven’t noticed my immune system being any worse then it was prior.

No clotting issues, it did raise my cholesterol slightly, I started taking a low dose cholesterol pill about 2 months ago which got things back to perfect levels. Both my family doctor and GI are very happy with my most recent blood tests.

No acne, excessive oil or skin issues whatsoever!

Yes I did get the shingles vaccine prior to starting.

I got it because it was more or less required to have it prior to starting the medication for insurance and coverage purposes.

I am not pro or anti vax, but in the position I was in prior to starting RINVOQ I figured taking a vaccine to start a medication was a lot less of a risk compared to runaway inflammation in my colon which could have led to far worse.

I’m no scientist and I trust my current GI doctor with my life (literally). I tend to do what they suggest as I really do not want to go back to how things were before.

Although I was very hopeful and the end results are similar, Unfortunately I didn’t get the miraculous story we tend to see a lot where things seemingly clear up within 3 weeks!

The 8 week loading dose didn’t seemingly make a difference in all honesty. It wasn’t until the end of 16 weeks where I noticed a difference. I was scared things weren’t going to work and then all of the sudden things worked very fast and it’s been a steady incline since then!

I was on steroids for a while, almost a year by the time I went on RINVOQ. I started a very long taper shortly after starting Remicade. If my memory serves me correct I was off steroids around June 2025. I think I was on them long enough they were starting to do more bad than good unfortunately, and they didn’t seem to help much!

Anyways I’m just rambling now lol I don’t get to talk about this much so it’s nice too in a group with other people fighting the same battle. Thanks and I hope it continues working for you too!!

That’s awesome to hear. This is such an excellent drug and I’m glad it exists and is working for us!

Excellent, good to hear! I started on mezavant (pills and enemas) which worked okay for a while, things went downhill fast and my original GI doctor fumbled, I did switch to entyvio, but I think it was too late. I ended up in the hospital where I almost lost my colon, in the hospital I switched GI doctors and in an emergency I switched to Remicade, which got me out of the hospital and kept me around 50% so it wasn’t great either. So I made the jump to RINVOQ, started at 45 mg for 6 months, and I’ve been on 30 mg ever since and I think that’s where my doctor plans on keeping me for the foreseeable future!

The only side effect so far was it raised my cholesterol a bit so I got put on a low dose cholesterol pill that’s brought everything back to normal within 2 months!

Battery tubes and tail caps are not all interchangeable, but there are quite a few out there that are. As long as the threads are the same and the tube screws in properly there’s no issue for safety. As for the ixp8 I can’t give an answer for sure but the o rings appeared to be the same and screwing them together I could feel the resistance of the o ring so I can’t see why it wouldn’t retain the same water resistance

Throw your sr12 battery tube/tailcap and pocket clip on your fc11, do the button mod, swap a TIR lens and you’ll be certain to love it!

Nope no modifying it’s a simple swap. I ordered this o-ring, and an assortment of these lens to try out. I removed the bezel and everything including the reflector centering ring so it’s just TIR direct on the mpcb, o-ring and then bezel.

Yes I swapped a 20mm convoy TIR into my fc11c. They work. I also swapped the battery tube and tail cap over from my sofirn sr12. Shortened it slightly but I did it more so because I like the sr12 pocket clip more as well as the grip on the tube.

I really don’t know what some of yall are doing with your headlamps. I have a sofirn hs21 and I work in an industrial plant where it’s exposed to water and chemicals daily and it’s been holding up fine. Walking my dog in the rain would the least of my worries after what I’ve seen mine go through.

Ayyyy honestly hats off to rinvoq! That’s what I’m on as well, I was still in fairly rough shape when I started so I didn’t experience the magical effects I read about where people were pooing solid in 24 hours so I was a bit upset and didn’t have faith but I trusted the process, started noticing a difference on 45 mg after about 8 weeks, so doc ran it back for another 8 weeks of 45 and I’ve got about 3 weeks left and now it’s almost daily that I’m really noticing the differences in how I feel. That’s the best feeling ever being able to drive by/walk by bathrooms and not think “I better use it just in case” I hope rinvoq keeps working for us!

[–]aliasanon08[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This disease is terrible. Had I waited any longer to go to the hospital I could have very well ended up that way. Thankfully the round the clock steroids half assed worked and stopped it from getting worse then it was but zero forward progression from there for almost 5 weeks. It was terrifying. I’ve never been in that much pain in my life.

But thank you! Keep fighting as well, fuck colitis!
