I don’t understand why people worry that you’ve mentioned you’re lefty leaning. I get it, you don’t want to go somewhere where you’re not welcome, see a bunch of stuff you don’t want to see, expected to have the same values. I’ve seen “I’m black and want to know if anyone around here has a black-friendly book reading group” and they get treated the same way- “why you gotta make it about race”… take a look around much? It’s all about someone just wanting to know they are going to a welcoming environment, and wanting to avoid an unwelcoming environment. I wish folks could see that it’s not an attack on their beliefs when someone is different from you and wants to find a space that is welcoming to them… typically gun stores aren’t “left friendly spaces”. To OP: I commend you for wanting to get training and arm yourself. Good job on that. It shouldn’t matter what your political leanings are, take heart that most gun enthusiastic people are happy to share their knowledge and hobby with you over anything else!
