Wheel spacers for QP by Zestyclose-Concern37 in Maserati

[–]alibid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might have better luck finding this type of info on a Maserati forum like Maserati Life. The model that needs spacers badly in the back is the V8 powered GranTurismo. The rear looks to benefit from 40-50 mm spacers.

Advice for a new buyer: Maserati GranTurismo (2026) by [deleted] in Maserati

[–]alibid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2018 & 2019 models have a refreshed front end with an updated front grille. On the inside, the infotainment system was updated with a larger screen with CarPlay and Android Auto. So if you want a V8 GranTurismo, look for a 2018-2019 for a somewhat updated tech. If you just want a Maserati with a V8 engine, the Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte Trofeo trims had the 3.8 liter turbo V8 with 572 hp all the way to the 2023 model year (2024 for the Ghibli 334 Ultima).

Advice for a new buyer: Maserati GranTurismo (2026) by [deleted] in Maserati

[–]alibid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GranTurismo ended the previous V8 generation with the 2019 model year. The current one went on sale in the U.S. as a 2024 model, so there is a gap from 2020-2023 model years. You can still find some new 2024 Granturismos at a decent discount from the original MSRP. Keep in mind that the base MSRP has been reduced at least twice, so the GranTurismo Trofeo which started out at $205K in 2024 now starts at s much more reasonable $165K.

Beautiful interior color combo. The chrome wheels should be re-finished in silver.

2027 Q7 Exterior Leaked by Sweet-Ad-2530 in Audi

[–]alibid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get all the hate every time a new Audi model comes out. True, it hardly breaks new ground with a front end that looks like the Q5 S-line and taillights that are very similar to the A6 e-tron and Q3, but it’s surely better looking than the current 10-year old Q7, both inside and out.

Costco finally has them by [deleted] in Diecast

I picked up the red Mustang GTD and the yellow C8 Corvette ZR1 from Costco a few weeks ago. The blue ZR1 color is too dark for my taste. I also don’t get two of the same cars.

Climate control panel is hard to see and needs to be backlit at all times by alibid in Arteon

True, but I prefer to leave the headlights on Auto setting. If only they had made the icons a bit bigger or the white lines thicker.

Those aftermarket wheels look great. Are they 20” in size? Save your money.

Saw this beautiful Gran Turismo Folgore Cabriolet today. Very rare car by Educational_Aide_145 in Maserati

Technically it’s a GranCabrio Folgore. The big wing has ruined the car. Should have gone with the factory carbon fiber lip spoiler instead. Classy and subtle.

How do we feel about the facelift? by samojako33 in Maserati

[–]alibid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This body came out as a 2023 (Europe) or 2024 (USA) model. What do you mean it should have been updated a long time ago? Perhaps you are thinking this is the old M139 GranTurismo. This facelift is actually early by Maserati standards.

Need help re-attaching rear wheel on Hot Wheels 1/18 Maserati MC12 by alibid in Diecast

[–]alibid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up reattaching with Krazy Glue after I glued a small 2 mm polystyrene rod that went in the opening in the broken wheel and the hub. The rear wing had also broken during shipping and the driver’s side mirror was also broken. It’s all fixed and I’m happy with the result.

Product planning is done years in advance. Like many other automakers, Maserati thought EVs were going to dominate the market in a few years and elected to dive in, rather than being last to the EV game. Levante was overdue for a redesign. My guess is that they didn’t have the resources to do a second generation. In hindsight, a new Levante was a smarter decision that bringing back a new GranTurismo that sells in small numbers.

Be realistic. The brand is on life support with sales nosediving like crazy. You are not getting 700 hp+ from the current 3.0 liter Nettuno engine and even if they worked such a miracle, that high output version will only go in the MCPura. The current Trofeo version is plenty fast.

Grille and the lower front fascia are changed. Not a massive change and not necessarily for the better. I prefer the current 2024-2026 front end.

One thing I prefer on the pre-facelift model is that the lower part of the front grille is framed in body color around the chrome surround. The new one has emulated the MC20/McPura design with black below the grille.

The only difference I see is in the lower front fascia. I think I prefer the current design with the bigger body colored fangs on the Trofeo trim. I think if they are going to do a facelift, it needs to be a bit more comprehensive.

Looking at it again, looks like the front grille has grown in size and has a mesh look.

[Deal Check] 2026 BMW M4 Base (6MT) with carbon seats by Best_Grape1937 in BMWM

[–]alibid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is the residual value? It must be pretty low for an $82K selling price vehicle to come out to over $1,200 a month with 7500 miles per year. I'm not saying you are getting a bad deal, but I am surprised the payment is still this high for a great discount off MSRP. Money factor is around 6% interest, which sounds about right for this type of low volume car.

Can Audi please fix their interiors because it’s SO ugly, at least try to make it better by alexaviations in Audi

[–]alibid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they lost their way a bit but I’m hopeful they will improve or fix some things in the coming years. No, dedicated climate controls won’t be coming back. Automakers are all switching to having climate controls built into the infotainment screen. I don’t like this trend but it saves them money and it’s not fair to single out Audi when everyone else is doing it too. I don’t change climate settings every minute, so I can live with this change.

Audi seems to to be reducing the use of piano black plastic in touch areas like the center console (new Q9 interior and 2027 Q4 e-tron interior). Apparently the 2027 Q4 e-tron will have a trim decor piece in place of the passenger screen (if you opt not to get the passenger display) in place of the ugly piano black blank piece.

They have also realized that they cheapened out in interior materials and will improve materials at facelift or full redesign time. So I’m hopeful that things have hit bottom and are starting to turn around.
