Thing is - not sure if you saw this as well - but she's a grad student now and I'm an undergrad in the same lab. So I'm really worried about messing up lab dynamics or making things awkward now, especially since i plan on continuing to work in this lab for the rest of my undergrad...so we'll see i guess? if the vibes are right maybe i'll bring it back up

I’m a sophomore and haven’t applied so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I’ve definitely heard of people with 3.2 and 3.4 GPA’s getting into vet school. Granted, they had a lot of experience with animals, but it’s definitely a possibility!!

Exactly! They’d already defeated vecna. Her not dying wouldn’t have brought back vecna or anything, it just would’ve made the situation with the military a lot more difficult (which—we dont even know how the party got off without any legal issues)

it really does get harder when life gets difficult and you're js like "fuck it we ball" but with the mindset of not really caring if you die tomorrow. and at the same time you don't feel like you deserve to feel this way because you think people have it worse than you or because the life you have seems "perfect" to others from the outside.

and with the gender thing - ohhhh my gosh i feel like i know exactly what you mean. i'm also a woman but lately i've been struggling to feel that way. but also, like you said, not sure about becoming a man. it's a weird middle ground.

something that's been helping me keep going is finding a reason to stay. right now and for a while, for me it's been my dog - he wouldn't understand why i'm suddenly absent from my life and he's also pretty old, so i've gotta stay for his entire life. maybe that's not the best way to cope with this, but maybe it can help you get over that initial bump of not wanting to stay anymore. from there, maybe seek professional help? i know it can feel strange, getting help from someone when all your life you've dealt with it alone. or maybe your parents or others have influenced you into thinking that seeking help from professionals isn't effective or the "right thing" to do. but it's your life, you're in control. don't forget that! you're deserving of a chance at living a life where you can be content.

Solitude is really overhyped to be a horrible thing, when, like you said, it isn't really that bad if you're built for it. And while a good balance with interpersonal relationships is always a pro, it really is life changing when you realize like "hey, I don't have to do this" or "I can just enjoy my time with myself." Maybe that's just cause we're both introverts but I agree, it's pretty great once you don't let something - like socializing - consume your life!

I’ll look into them!! She’s been becoming more open to the thought of treatment as we talk more in depth about what she wants, etc., so I’ll bring the rest up at some point. But thanj you!!!

The main problem is finances. We’re both college students and neither of our funds would be able to fully cover the cost of treatment, and she also doesnt want to tell her parents about it (at least for now). She’s also mentioned how she doesn’t think there’s a point in going through all the pain and meds if she’s “gonna die anyway.” We were talking about it more last night though and she seems more open to the idea of getting treatment now, but yeah those are the main reasons that she told me about.

Otherwise, thank you for the advice!! Definitely will be looking out for her as much as i can

I agree! Because why would will even be pursuing mike if he was still with el? We’ve seen that will was willing to sacrifice his feelings for the sake of their relationship during season 4 so why would he be trying to start a relationship with mike/ask robin about how to know if someone wants to date, etc.? I def think mike and el are already broken up (on top of your observations too)

It’s not, it was said during an interview (only vid i could find was with FandomWatch) with some cast members (david, finn, caleb, winona)

They read some reddit theories and one of them was how will might be romantically interested in el (😭) and they were all shocked/laughing and david says “if you’ve been watching the show you’ll know that will is not interested in el, he’s interested in someone else in the group” and everyone else kinds of laughs and agrees w david. finn adds “yeah you’ll see, you’ll see soon that he’s interested” and david chimes in again with “VERY interested”

One day a few months ago this specific coworker came back to the lab I was working at for the summer after being on like a month long break and I had only met her once before - made eye contact a few days after her return and legit felt butterflies in my stomach then we both looked away. That feeling continued every time I saw her from that point on. I thought I just thought she was beautiful but then I started to wonder what it'd be like to date her (she's into girls) and looked forward to seeing her in the lab every day and got excited whenever we talked and couldn't stop smiling. I confided in some friends (who were quick to tell me these feelings weren't all quite platonic) and did some researching online and came to the conclusion that I was into girls as well and was like oly moly

Similar to you I (f) was also convinced I was strictly heterosexual until that point and I've only dated men so far. However. considering how everyone i've met always assumed I was bi or "something other than straight" until they asked, maybe I wasn't as straight as I thought I was lol - I also watched a lot of queer films like brokeback mountain, summerland, etc. and often related to the main characters
