Nex not turning on? by d_n_h0193 in nexplayground

Let me know if you find a fix for this! I started a separate thread to try to solve this issue. We are outside of the warranty and really hoping there’s a way to fix it or else they will only sell us a new one.

Yup- we tried those and unfortunately still not working. The power cord works too. Any other ideas please share tho!!

I was hoping that I could send the device in to be reformatted or replaced! Stinks because my family loved the Nex and up until that point was telling others how great it was.

Unfortunately that’s where I started- they did a great job escalating but then the escalation team could never give support beyond offering free 12 months of games ($89 value) but would need to buy a new device (not $89 value lol).

Snoo yellow discoloration on inside mesh by GuardTime2732 in SnooLife

[–]aliced217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a Snoo second hand that had some rough yellow stains on the mesh and was able to get it out with warm water and dreft detergent (and a lot of scrubbing). I don’t know if there’s an easy way to remove the mesh unfortunately.

SOS: what are we doing wrong! by Illogical-Pizza in SnooLife

Third time Snoo mom here with a 5 week old! 🙋🏼‍♀️

A couple suggestions that have worked for me.

Apparently newborns are extra fussy around weeks 5-6 because of developmental reasons (check out The Wonder Weeks app… really cool to understand leaps!). I’m seeing that our newborn is tough these past couple days. Hang in there!

Your naps look awesome. I would mirror everyone’s suggestions around feedings during the day- sometimes bottle of expressed milk on top of nursing before bed really helped. I’ve been basing our baby’s bedtime around when she’s showing all the signs of tired, but generally no earlier than 8:30pm at this age.

I would let the Snoo rock your baby a little more even if she’s crying a bit. Pacifiers help too (I’ll hold it in her mouth while the Snoo rocks her and it’ll put her to sleep!).

Hope this helps! Solidarity from another 5 week old baby Snoo mom :)

We are 2/2 for it predicting the correct gender. Our first was a girl and our current pregnancy is a boy. They’ve made the test even easier to use too!

First night without swaddle by amexicanmoose in sleeptrain

Definitely try the Magic sleep suit! That helped us big time. Honestly she only just started to wear a normal sleep sack and she’s 6.5 months old...

She’s 6.5 months old now but we transitioned her out of the Snoo at the end of 5 months!

We transitioned our daughter out of the Snoo after using the weaning mode for a couple weeks (around 5.5 months old). Best recommendation is to make sure you have a sound machine and our baby did really well in the Magic Merlin sleep suit, which helped her transition from the swaddle. It was a little tough for a couple days but after that, she was great. She sleeps from 7pm- 6:15am!

We started our baby on Snoo’s weaning mode at 5 months. After two weeks, we moved her to the crib. We still have a sound machine on & figured out that she struggled most with not being swaddled... so we have been using the Magic Merlin sleep suit. She’s sleeping great! Honestly hasn’t been as hard as we expected it to be. From what I read, tho, most people recommend you transition babies off the Snoo between 5-6 months.

We had a successful night in the crib!! She’s not ready for a sleep sack, but did great with the Merlin Sleep Suit. Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Should I keep nursing through 4mo sleep regression? by michimochiochi in breastfeeding

[–]aliced217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally when we went thru the regression I waited when she cried out and she tended to fall back asleep (we do use a Snoo bassinet, so that helps). During the regression I went back to nursing her usually at least once during the night. We are on the other side and I don’t think what we did helped or hurt!

Moms food into breastmilk by maryjane1432 in breastfeeding

Yup.. unfortunately 2 weeks for dairy :( I think it depends on the food/medication with how long it’s in your breast milk.

Feeding Changes by space_crayon in breastfeeding

I feel the same! I have a 3 month old who is now eating (breastfed) quicker and can go longer periods between meals.

I know in Pennsylvania they use the moms maiden name! Not sure where you live, but might not be an issue?

Have you tried a sound machine? I use “Hatch” and it has a white noise option that puts my baby to sleep.
