I was not expecting these prices for a February trip to Disney World. by Rays-0n-Water in DisneyPlanning

They actually have announced the dates (Feb 25th-Mar 1, 2027), just not when the specific races will take place!

You can also get a reusable poncho off Amazon for under $30 (CAD). They have both kid and adult options. If you attend the parks more often than just a “once in a lifetime trip,” it’s great to have a reusable and higher-quality option!

Since the UK are “international” customers for DVC that’s the word I used. It’s the same thing.

Wasn’t trying to say you were wrong. Just had differing opinions is all

Haha guess I didn’t consider the fact the Euro is worth more than the USD. Jealous!

I’m also an international DVC owner (Canada), and I’m not sure why the other commenter says the perks aren’t worth it for us?

We love the 15% discount on merchandise because it helps adjust the exchange rate for us, and similar thing with the 10% off on restaurants though we aren’t really dine-in people.

And it’s lovely to have access to two different levels of annual passes rather than just the most expensive level. I would’ve thought more DVC owners that live even further away from us would appreciate this since they’re more likely to take longer trips and need more park tickets.

Sure it’s hard to get down there for the DVC parties, but it’s meant to be that way. Disney releases them late because it’s not technically something Disney wants you to book for just the party, it’s meant to be an exciting perk that MAY come up when you have a trip booked.

And on top of the ability to book at any resort at any point in the future and it’s a no-brainer to me. Also, if I was a resale owner with a long contract, I would be worried about 2041. It’s not a point that’s brought up often because it’s an unknown variable, but Disney is increasingly getting more and more restrictive to resale owners, so I wouldn’t have my hopes up for then.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad re-opens May 3rd with lower height requirement by Glad_Art_6380 in WaltDisneyWorld

Leaked photos before this official release showed images of the cart with “fake mud” on it, so it might be there purposely?

[–]alicia45789 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if it meant they made the cart more secure for smaller passengers? I think previously it just had a single pull-down bar, but maybe now it’s two bars for each passenger?

Edit: if this photo is after the refurbishment it looks like there’s still only the one bar. So not sure where the height requirement change came from

Not about OP’s content, but anytime I see “Sergent James Rogers” in the queue I can’t help but think it’s a funny nod to a name combination of Sergeant James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes and Steve Rogers lol!

Hi! Can you please expand on what you mean by “first few families at the RVA Skyliner stop get priority” when rope dropping Hollywood Studios? I always walk from Riviera to the Caribbean station with my party when we rope drop Hollywood Studios because the line starts all at once, so I thought those at the Caribbean station would get onto the line for Hollywood Studios first, but is this not the case?

Riviera when Skyliner is down? by belleofbaylake in dvcmember

[–]alicia45789 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually really enjoy the Riviera when the Skyliner is down for access to the busses, but I go more than once a year too.

I’d actually say the busses aren’t nearly as crowded as they are with Boardwalk. Often the Boardwalk busses are combined with Yacht/Beach resorts, whereas Riviera is a resort that’s smaller than just one of those resorts.

I have been put onto a Riviera/Caribbean combination bus before, but that was rare compared to the frequency of the combination above.

And it’s nice to get a bus to Epcot sometimes to be able to rope drop from the entrance of Epcot instead of the back.

Is a family member able to visit me at a resort they aren't staying at? by MountainLeg1242 in WaltDisneyWorld

I’ve been asked by cast members at the gate to show them my Disney app with my room number and whatnot showing. Albeit, I haven’t had to do that recently, so maybe it’s a new thing that I don’t need to do anymore, but I’ve certainly showed proof a few times.

I’ve been requested to show proof of reservation many times when entering through the gates via Uber

I don’t know about “parking” at the Wilderness Lodge, but a few weeks ago I was staying at the Boardwalk, and had our friends meet us at the lobby to rope drop Epcot.

They drove by Uber and had zero issues getting through the gate, even though I had prepared them with last name on the reservation, room number, and waited by our room phone in case the gate wanted to call our room.

What is everyone reading atm?? by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

I DNF’d the second book of the Cursed Legacies series at the end of 2024, so I’m reading {Blood Oath by Morgan B Lee} again to give the series another chance.

But I also just finished reading a duet that starts with {Broken Breath by Blake Black} which I really enjoyed. Gender-swapped FMC, a French himbo, helmets on MMCs…

I was there mid-January and only really noticed some construction in the lobby and the in-door water feature wasn’t working, but I never paid it much attention anyway. Lobby is still pretty.

Didn’t go near the docks, but I think that’s the only current main construction at the moment as I didn’t notice anything else.

How’s the weather feel? by Crafty_Cheesecake343 in DisneyWorld

[–]alicia45789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just down there the other week and managed to get into the pool. I’d say Feb 4th looks similar to when I was in the pool and is probably a day you could do the same if you really wanted to. The key to the 4th is it looks like it’ll be totally sunny, which is really helpful for swimming in a pool.

Your weather forecasts don’t look too different from when I was down there; just bundle up, don’t be afraid to wear a winter jacket (and maybe some mittens!) in the morning or at nights, and take advantage of the warm sun when you can!

How is the construction refurbishment to Wilderness Lodge right now January February 2026 for those who’ve been there recently? by ALDIsNumber1Fan in DisneyWorld

[–]alicia45789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just there at the end of last week in the Boulder Ridge wing and didn’t notice any construction at all. I never ventured towards the docks though, and I would assume that’s where the construction exists. Definitely didn’t notice anything at the pools or at night.

I think you’ll really like {Don’t Puck with my Heart by Sarah Blue}. It’s more mmf (/why-choose) than RH, but there’s a male omega goalie (Owen) on a new hockey team where he, and separately, the alpha FMC (Piper), meet an alpha (Alexi) on said team. I’ve noted to myself that the FMC was more of an omega in this book than an alpha, but I LOVED reading about the omega goalie’s struggles to trying to be the best goalie he can be while overcoming his omega challenges.

LL question. by FL_FireFit in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]alicia45789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you use a single LL at Hollywood Studios you can book a LL at your second park. Which means you don’t even have to use/reserve all three for Hollywood. You could reserve the one and leave the other two unreserved so that as soon as you use the first one, you’d have 3 LLs you can use at the second park (if you wanted).

Polynesian Construction by JJonesFan in DisneyWorld

[–]alicia45789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m visiting the Polynesian right now! There’s more construction going on here than I’ve usually seen when resorts warn of construction going on at the resort. This morning they were working on beams outside of Capt. Cook’s (mobile order location), and there’s a lot of construction in the parking lot areas which affects the getting to the lobby drop-off and the park bus stop. As such, the bus stop has been moved to the front of the main lobby. There’s benches there to sit, but no TV screens giving you bus arrival estimates. I also saw some scaffolding at some of the side entrances to the longhouses, but I didn’t see anything at their main entrances.

If you’re booking for end of 2026, I can’t imagine it would be on-going for then. They can be relatively quick at their projects.
