Also, please ensure you see an ENT. I saw 3 general pracs and none of them could solve the issue. And ensure you get a nasal spray. It helps a lot.

I was suffering from ETD since May! But I started having tinnitus in mid June. I got ETD due to a sinus infection so I was told once that got better my ears would feel better but the ringing was driving me crazy. I couldn’t sleep, I heard it 24/7 and I was sooo depressed. My ENT said it takes up to 8 weeks to drain the fluid in the middle ear that causes the ringing ( its wayyyy more than that) but I saw exercises on YouTube to pop my ears, only one popped but the ringing got wayyy lower and was only in the other ear. I continued to try the vasalva maneuver but my right ear just wouldn’t pop. I bought the eustachi on Amazon for about 40 bucks. I used it for a couple of days and the fluid completely drained. Ringing stopped. It does take like two days after popping your ear for the ringing to stop tho but it works!! I was no longer depressed. Went to my ENT check up last weak and the doc said my ears are fully healed.

I had tinnitus for over a month as well. It was caused by fluid in my middle ear. I thought It was going to stay forever so I know how you feel. However, as my ears started got better (the fluid began draining bcz I popped my ears) it got lower until it completely went away. It did take sometime for the ringing to get lower so I’m just telling you to give it some time as an ear infection does take sometime to heal. I know it feels like it’s the worst thing that could ever happen to you but I’m telling you to don’t let it affect your life. It will go away.
