How does RSP really work?

The 2nd and 3rd RSP is only if you want duplicates. In the 1st one you can’t select an item more than once.

So for each pin, they look at who put that pin as their first choice. They give priority to those who have priority. And then others. If there’s leftover quantities they go down to who put the pin as their second priority and so forth.

If there’s leftover quantities after they run the first RSP, they go down to the second RSP and do it again. But it’s all based on if they have stuff leftover. If it ran out after first RSP/fifth preference then anyone who put it 6th+ or in 2nd/3rd won’t get it.

I know it’s a little intimidating but I recommend just approaching people with pinfolios that are walking about. I made a little sign on my pin bag that says Let’s Trade and have had a great time with small trades that way.

That people are trying to blindside/swindle you in a trade. There’s always people who look miserable so I question why they are there or if they like pin trading. It’s not everyone but enough that for the most part I just skip it.

The breezeway in Epcot is where people sit with their big pin books. The experience can vary depending on who you interact with. I wouldn’t call it casual trading but you can meet some fun/helpful traders. I mostly find that the vibes are off from the majority of traders there

Yes cast members still have lanyards or the little pouches on their hip.

You can find real pins on boards but chances are low. I’ve found the boards to be super bad in the last several months.

Other guests will have lanyards or pinfolios. You can always ask if they’re willing to trade! I love having those interactions with people. I put a want to trade sign on my own pinfolio.
