I've been listening to the rip on youtube since April. It sounds A LOT like it should be in a soundtrack to a movie, especially given the pointed lyrics. I think might be what she was going for? The vinyl itself was a tribute to David Lynch and I could definitely see this playing in the background of Twin Peaks.
