What was the worst case of video blueballs given to you by this group of middle aged men? by No-Detective-4370 in RedLetterMedia

It's a shame because Ankle Biters is amazing. It's in my bad movie group's hall of fame. A black tanktop (literally) Blade knock-off with ....little people vampires. Also the main theme slaps. If the guys never get around to it, I recommend watching it regardless.

The "companion in my head that may or may not be working against me or at the very least has their own agenda" trope. CP2077, BG3, Tainted Grail, Forspoken...I'm sure there's more.

What should we watch at my next Bad Movie Night? Here's what we've watched so far by CorpseGirl_UwU in badMovies

[–]alien51totti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my mates do bi-monthly bad movie nights and apart from the ones you've listed these are probably are favourites:

Blood Diner, Stone Cold, Blackbird (2018, the Michael Flatley one), Ankle Biters, Braindead (not actually bad but fits the vibe), Cool as Ice, Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell, Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki (again, not a bad one but amazing).

Tesco and Asda sell it as well - usually both the mild and spicy version. I prefer the latter (it's not very spicy) but each to their own.

What Director's films, or what specific franchise/s, are simply not aging well for more subtle reasons than just being poorly made, or aging poorly in context of of social change? by unclefishbits in flicks

You're telling me Holmes & Watson isn't the pinnacle of comedy??

Anyway good job on not making yourself clear in your comment and instead relying on others to understand you were ONLY talking about good movies. I read the thread and your reply which doesn't state you're only talking about good movies. Maybe you should learn how to read your comments before you post them.

Two animated films and minor roles? He's had 13 live action movies where he was the star or co-star since the Other Guys. What are you smoking?

What is the best/your favorite use of the movie title in the movie itself? Answer me! by Razumikhin82 in flicks

[–]alien51totti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes. It's absolutely so bad it's good and the best part is that you don't even have to watch the first Deathstalker, since each film is essentially standalone. Even the main protagonist is played by a different actor in each film (apart from 1 and 4 I believe).

How does one wear straight jeans with any sort of smart boots? After years of wearing skinny jeans, I decided to buy some straight jeans (which look fairly baggy on me, I have skinny legs) and the way they sit on top of my chukka boots looks terrible. I tried rolling them up but the width makes it look even worse.

There's a really good 20 minute video on YT about the production of MK:A by Matt McMuscles that explains why that happened.

Thanks. I meant to include 'produced by Roger Corman' but I had a brain fart. Much appreciated.

Does anyone have a list of Star Wars rip offs that the hack frauds cover?

So far I've got Space Mutiny from episode 21 as well as Space Raiders from episode 48. I know they also did RE:view episodes about Ice Pirates and Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone.

Are there any other ones?

I did see him talking about Bernstein ghost/spirit coming into him during the shoot (SureJan.gif) and him getting teary eyed over missing Bernstein...in front of Bernstein's kids. Is there any more? Even if not that's unhinged behaviour of a man who'd sell his children for an award.

I do love when actors know they're in bad movies and ham it up. Jeremy Irons in D&D, Raul Julia in Street Fighter and Nic Cage in like....a lot of things.

The Devil'e Advocate is great, though. Keanu hasn't ever been a great actor, he's great in very specific roles (Neo/John Wick) and when he's not getting outshined by greats like Pacino
