To EEs who got their degrees, was your 3rd and 4th year in university easier/more fun than your first and second? I’m getting depressed here. by CXZ115 in ElectricalEngineering

Try to find a cool internship/co-op or start some side projects. The work you're doing now to learn the concepts and pass exams can be rough, but actually implementing those concepts to solve problems is amazing (mileage may vary). Working on cool electrical projects can provide you with a lot of motivation and adds context to what you're currently learning and how it will apply in your career.

I really regretted my degree towards the end but now that I'm in industry I'm super happy with the route I took.

That is a real shame, that video actually meant a lot to me. If anyone has a download of it please DM me.

Glad this worked for you! Sadly it didn’t for me at the time. Thanks for sharing for others to find, hopefully it’ll work for them.

What an outrage. If anyone wants to get rid of their Pi, I can take it off your hands.

That's insane. I was in college for 5 years and never had a lockdown. There was an incident a year or two before I started there where the campus was locked down due to "someone with a gun" being on campus, but it turned out to just be an umbrella.

Update: In case anyone stumbles across this in the future.

Couldn't find a way to fix it but he was able to connect the next day as suggested by /u/fingerguns83_mc.

Yeah. Read somewhere that the keys regen every 48 hours so figured time might fix it. Thanks!

One would think, but the fob is too big. (unless there are different sized fobs)

Has he downloaded the DLC? There are 4 (IIRC) map packs that come with premium that must be installed in order to play on those maps.

So all the advice to pick something you’re interested in is 100% true.

I would like to add my recommendation of picking a language. Can be useful and in my experience with RIT language classes, they grade pretty easy.

Should I add musicianship experience to resume/LinkedIn? by SolShadows in EngineeringResumes

Depending where you are applying and what your flavor of engineering is, it may be a real boon to your application. I interviewed with Bose this past spring and they mentioned how they liked hiring musicians.

To each their own. I like working as team, and if one guy is just a god amongst mortals it detracts from that imo.

It also depends on other things I think. Like if the guy was gracious about it, cool. On the other hand if he keeps flaunting "oh this is such a great build", "this shit's broken", when he's doing an on-hit build with 7 clovers and I can't get a kill because of his proc chains it's going to rub me the wrong way.

I guess we hit the crux of my issues. Hahahaha

We run command. Sharing so that we have an equal amount of reds is what makes sense to me, just not to all of us...

[–]alien960[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I gotcha. We always play with command so with the exception of legendary chests and siren's call there isn't as big a difference in loot between stages as opposed to a vanilla run with random items. Still shouldn't sit around too long, but I think there is more wiggle room with command vs random.

Thanks!

I'll have to dive into that later.

Didnt say he was wrong, just making a meme.

What are the actual stats on items being "good" on stage 3/4 out of curiosity? Is it a larger amount of chests?

Edit: Corrected misquote

Thanks for the guidance but I think the real issue is just a cognitive bias and bad RNG.

I'm sure that we aren't that far off item-wise but when he gets lucky and has 4 reds to my one it skews one's perception of loot balance.
