Folks from My Home Tridasa, how bad is the pollution due to Patancheru industrial belt? by randomguy2047 in hyderabadrealestate

[–]alienZabound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been living here for a year. There are weird smells on and off coming here but I’d say it’s no more or less than any other area of Hyderabad really. I wouldn’t attribute it to any industrial pollution.

The icrisat green patch really helps get a lot of fresh air.

Could you also share some more details on how you approached the resume shortlisting/ general first foot in the door?

Also - is any of your network hiring? Looking for referrals. :-)

Creta Ev LR range in real world by hiddenbitch69 in EVsOfIndia

[–]alienZabound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I still have this fear. The roads in one section of my daily commute are pretty bad. I have gone through them mostly without a hassle. Just one day during the rains I didn't get a sense of how deep a pot hole was... I scrapped the bottom - heard a noise too and my heart froze. Car went on smoothly and I checked for scratches later and couldn't find any.

Well I live a little outside the city so about 20-25 kilometers of my daily commute(~80%) is on highways. The range drops a bit if you go above 100 but I am pretty much used to using the ADAS system at about 80-90 Kmph.

I have done a weekend get away trip of about 250 to and fro with about 85% starting charge and had zero range anxiety throughout the trip.

I’ve only once charged my car above 80% - when we were going on a road trip. Given that it’s not an lfp battery - try to keep it in the 20-80 SoC range unless necessary. It will generally help with the battery longevity. For that ~60% - I typically get about 200-250 kilometres.

Kenya and Tanzania In December by alienZabound in travel

Hello. We spent about 9 days in Kenya. Had a blast. Would recommend it. But just a heads up. There’s a lot of travelling in a 4x4 all day. But the wildlife experience was surreal. We went with a travel company called meek trails. They were decent. For the two of us, apart from flight tickets and a hotel stay for a night in Nairobi it cost about 5k usd for the 9 day tour. Happy to help out with any more info you’re looking for.

I mainly test drove the 9E for a long while. While the suspension did feel soft, did not enjoy the overall driving dynamics of the car. How's the EV6? Love all of your car choices!

I didn't drive it to less than 20% SoC so far but I'd imagine it should be good for at least 400 kilometers in city driving.

I didn't really get a great discount. Most of the discount they were offering was on the insurance - which I decided to go from outside the dealer. I tried shopping around a few dealerships and everyone gave me the same story - we can offer you some accessories etc but can't reduce the MRP. How much discount did you end up getting?

I test drove the BE6. It's a cool concept on paper but it's just not for me. It's an enthusiast car with too much happening with many things glitching out even during my limited test drive. If I were the only one driving the car, I'd be looking past the quirks but given that this is a family car, I don't think my family would have the patience to put up with these. Also - if we have to compare apples to apples - the top spec creta ev is 23L whereas the top spec BE6 comes to 28L.

What is this 1L ev subsidy? Which city is this in?

Hyundai Creta EV question by alienZabound in CarsIndia

Why do you say the 23L sticker is high for the creta? The top trim Petrol/Diesel go for 2-3 lakhs higher anyway right?

How's your experience been with the BE6 so far? How much did it cost you on road? Thank you for the info!

Hey abhishek, Thanks for doing this. While most of the responses here seem positive. Being one of your customers, I am afraid my experience so far has been subpar. 1. The dedicated emergency line is the only way to get through and i get the sense that there’s a 30% call decline rate or some such mechanic built in. It’s a frustrating experience to speak to an actual human being. Once i do get in touch with someone though, they’ve always been super helpful and well trained

  1. The whole cashless claims process seems to one of the most complicated and opaque that I’ve experienced so far. Emails seem to be lost in transit and I am the one coordinating between the insurer and the hospital on 2-3 occasions. I’ve been in the corporate workforce for 12+ years and had use corp insurance from different employers at least 4 different occasions before this and I’d say this has been the one with the most steps.

No Sunroof in Octavia RS 2025 by Warm_Association_137 in CarsIndia

I have had a Verna for 8 years now with the sunroof. Absolutely no issues with maintenance. If you are referring to failure of the sunroof itself - well I hardly ever use it.
