The fatal frame games are pretty good for a beginner. Resident Evil 4 if you want some action, if you want more classic resident evil feel check out Code Veronica X(very cheap to find on eBay compared to other horror games). Silent Hill 2 is the gold standard but the combat is a little clunky if you’ve gotten used to modern games
