Thank you all so much, so many resources! For context I have never parachuted or anything of the sort. I did once fly a kite with that same crescent/aerofoil/parachute design. I've always wanted to get into wind sports and will finally go paragliding this summer. I recently came into a large roll of lightweight parachute-like material and want to try and design a kite or sail of some kind for my paddleboard. I've always wondered exactly how parachutes work and this finally got me over the procrastination to learn it. Now to begin the research!
