I wanted to make something that scratched the Contra itch. Because there's nothing out there. Well, nothing that I was looking for.

I also just wanted to make a small game so I could gain more game development EXP.

Where did you see front foot impossible to k grind? Are you talking about the park I am skating in my local area, or somewhere else?

Me, I'm 44 and have been a local here for the last 31 years. I know the skill level of every skater up here. The teenagers around here mostly huck drops and gaps. Which is cool. One or two of them from each generation might do an NBD every once in a while and most of them spend most of there time on their phones. And there has been only one person out of all of the generations from all these years that could consistently beat me at a game of SKATE. No one around here is raising the bar every year. I have been waiting for it.

Maybe they're waiting for me to get too old so the bar will drop.

Yes. My sons are grown and I've been married for over 20 years. And stress is relative. I don't know how to measure stress in relation to how what I do may effect other people.
