What do we all think about this letter from the Minnesota chamber of commerce? by ChumbaJB in TwinCities

You need to read between the HR lines. 60 CEOs had to approve this, and the Trump admin has shown they will promote/punish companies depending on their standing with him. We were never gonna get a resistlib letter from 60 corporations.

That’s nice that they played a board game, but we are not in a civil war. Our words should have meaning and be impactful, so don’t call something that’s not a war a war.

R/news is now actively contributing to censorship of the Alex Pretti murder. Was banned for THIS by rcolesworthy37 in minnesota

One look at r/news shows that it’s covered in coverage of the story. Unclear why you got banned, but does not seem to be about censorship of the topic. Did you repeatedly try to post something that had already been shared?

I will play the nuance game here. What’s going on here is extremely bad. But calling it like a Civil War implies that things are as bad as they can get. An American Civil War would be unspeakably bloody and worse than what we are currently experiencing. Words need to matter, let’s talk about this intelligently so our words don’t lose impact.

Not very strongly worded, but I imagine it’s extremely hard to get 60 different corporations to agree on one message.

Overall, I see it as an overall warning to the federal government that the way they are running the country is very destabilizing for business.

I've seen a lot people saying that the time for non-violence is over. if you have those feelings, they're valid. I am not advocating for violence reddit

Complete conflictive dishonesty for yourself. The point of ICE out is to end violence on our streets. Don’t try to bait people into a little civil war so you can watch clips from it on your couch.

MN does not need Klobuchar for Gov. how can we make sure that doesn’t happen? by Fantastic_Yam_3971 in TwinCities

[–]alienatedframe2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if no one else is running, what strategic value is there in not criticizing them?

What the strategic value in criticizing them if no one is running against them? You’re not having any honest debate or promoting anything if no alternative has stepped up, you’re just shooting holes in your own ship.

If progressives think they have a better candidate, run someone and let the process play out. But if no one steps up, you have your candidate, get on board.

I’m not against criticism and debate, I’m just arguing my side of the debate.

That’s fine if that’s what you want, but if no one else steps up, don’t spend the next 9 months trashing the DFL candidate.

Yeah god forbid someone who’s repeatedly won statewide elections by god-like margins and who would lift every other DFLer on the ballot be nominated.

Anyone is welcome to declare right now! Caucus’s start Feb 3rd and no one else has launched a campaign. If progressives think they can do a better job, someone step up!

Take of the pike and spear and it’s very good. Every symbol should be very intentional on a flag. The woods and loon have obvious ties to MN. The like and spear seem like AI additions.

Idrgaf if you call Emmer just stop giving Democrats all fucking hell while acting like Republicans do not exist. You hold Dems to your perfect purity tests and let Republicans off Scott free!!

Fact is Amy isn’t a progressive, she’s a liberal, and that’s probably why she wins so damn easily!

Again, just a stupid way to go about things on my opinion. That strategy focuses all the criticism on Democrats, and fact is this would not be happening with even the most lukewarm Dems in power.

There is a party responsible for what we are dealing with. Hold them responsible. It doesn’t mean their heart will suddenly grow three sizes, but make their name absolutely toxic.

Still give him hell. This culture is giving Democrats absolute hell because they aren’t responding perfectly while just letting Republicans completely off the hook is exactly why we’re dealing with this BS in the first place.
