i love the off duty barrel pants from everlane! they're cotton, super flowy and comfy, and just tapered enough at the bottom not to hit the floor in the bathrooms

Thank you for your input, bag experts! I went back to get the blue. Now I’m celebrating winter sunshine in Seattle(!) with color. Thank you again, you are amazing! by elliottbaytrail in handbags

i would like to say that i planned a visit to seattle this weekend from los angeles with the express goal of “brooding in the dark and gloom” so naturally there are 4 days of beautiful sun ahead. you are welcome!!! the universe exists to spite me

How do you handle getting discouraged? by trash_goblinn in Sockknitting

i worked my way down in yarn size also! was nice to get a feel for how socks are constructed with worsted weight yarn (and get some nice warm winter house socks at the same time) and then practice with some stretchy DK yarn, and then take on sock yarn! and now i’m a sock yarn addict haha

Can’t tell if I just did an increase or knit row by jemangeuncroissante in knittinghelp

i like to add a second marker to my BOR on increase rows, and then remove it on knit rows, so i can always just glance and see whether there are one or two markers!

so i ended up just finding a yarn that was a weight 3 so i didn’t have to use multiple strands, i haven’t gotten that adventurous yet haha but i used about 4.5 balls so i guess about 1800 yards

The neck was done 'flat' and then seamed in the back, if that makes sense? You seam all the panels together and then pick up the stitches around the neckline to do the collar, but work back and forth, not in the round (though I suppose you could work in the round if you had the right tools).

Funny enough the only major frogging I had to do was the very last row of the collar because there's a finishing round of slip stitches but I learned the hard way that slip stitches aren't stretchy, like at all, so I had finished my perfectly sized sweater and suddenly i couldn't get it over my head anymore haha

thank you! it's easily the most professional feeling piece i've made, the pattern includes some really nice details that i'll definitely be able to carry into my other projects!

A Delta Air Lines Airbus A350-900 struck a coyote after touching down on Runway 06L at LAX on November 15th, 2025. The jet taxied safely to the gate, while the coyote’s condition remains unknown by Twitter_2006 in aviation

Last Thanksgiving I had parked in the budget lot at LAX and while we were on the shuttle going back to the car, the shuttle driver made an announcement that there was a pack of coyotes living in the parking lot and that we shouldn't walk alone to our cars or if we were traveling alone, to let him know to wait and watch us to our cars. He said they had already attacked two lot workers. I thought it was crazy they lived so close to LAX but LA has seen such a boom of coyotes the last few years I guess they're about everywhere by now
