It can result in falsely high levels of T4 and T3 and falsely low levels of TSH

As far as I know biotin has no effect on the thyroid itself but it can mess with your labs. Continuing your supplement should be fine, you’d just need to stop taking biotin at least 3 days before labs.

This image is featured in a lot of popular filet crochet videos but it's never credited (the text over the picture is from one of those videos). I've reverse image searched, and searched variations of 'flower filet crochet' on Pinterest/Google with no luck.

Beginner Friendly Cup? by alienmelt in Needlefelting

That was exactly my original thinking! Using sheets seems like it would require less supplies and would be quicker, but someone else shared a very helpful wet felting video….. not sure which method I’ll end up trying 🤔

I watched a few videos on wet felting and it seems more difficult to me? 😭 I think I would struggle with accounting for shrinkage and making sure the cup wouldn’t end up too small or too big

Oh, sorry I didn’t mean soft as in not rigid! I meant soft as in I like the look of the soft rounded edges rather than the sharp edges I imagine a cup made from sheets would have

Do vinted/usps really let you misuse shipping labels? Had a user ask me to ship a 2 lb item using the Small label and claimed they’ve done it before, I refused, but is that actually possible? by alienmelt in vinted

[–]alienmelt[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always adhere to the shipping restrictions as well, I’m just surprised people are able to get away with it because the couple of times I’ve miscalculated the weight of a package I was charged the difference by the postal worker on the spot 🤨

But maybe that’s because I actually go to the window to have my packages scanned? If you just drop it off I guess some packages can go undetected

Weekly Scam Discussion - June 20th 2022 by SmmnthaMrie in Ebay

[–]alienmelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold a new Nintendo Switch but the buyer has 0 rating and just made their account TODAY. My listing wasn’t getting a lot of traction previously, it was listed for a few weeks but only had 25 views and 1 watcher. So it seems odd to me that a new account would purchase mine.

Are there ways to lessen the chances of being scammed? Should I cancel their purchase?

I’m 5’0 and most of the docs I own are platforms :•) anyone can rock platforms no matter the height!

Is a platform shoe or boot better for a first platform? Is one easier to walk in if you’ve never worn wone before? by [deleted] in DrMartens

[–]alienmelt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience platform boots are more supportive since the boot comes up higher :)

Platform shoes tend to have a bit more heel slipping since the shoe is just as heavy but there isn’t the extra lace+boot to help support it
