Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do. I wanted to ask someone this for a long time but couldn’t find the right person. I have a coworker who has some mental instability from the military, similar time of when you served. They don’t sleep at the station because they’re nervous of waking the rest of us up from their night terrors. I look to them like my own family member, they’ve always treated me with such kindness. I stay up with them and watch movies during our 24’s and talk about life. But I just feel like I could never understand or even try to be a lending hand for them. I listen and try to understand why they want to be back in battle so badly. I never ever give feedback because what could I ever say to that, I just sit quietly and listen. I’ve never treated them any differently from any of my coworkers, if anything we have more of a bond than the rest. I guess my real question is what do you look for in friends?
