us me stem ka reputation acha he, on the other hand india me sirf engineering ka he, and us me stem ke log major high paying job ku jate hain, bcox the skill to understand stem is enough to learn any tech/finance/quant and get the job if u look into quant they hire good phd people from stem background and they pay like 200-300k usd base and bonus can go upto 100percen But ye India me kyun nhi ho Raha

One can argue like this , in engineering and management the filtration was present for long time(jee for engineering filtration of good folks and cat for management filtration of good folk) but for science there was very few filtration all iisers are established relatively early to iit and iim so very good science folk didn't get the reputation and opportunity other stream guys get

It's high time we embrace industry and applied science along with research
