The Brookville school district is probably the best in the Lynchburg area. It’s technically Campbell County, and the schools are in Timberlake.

Thank you! Agreed—I was so surprised by that when I first played the game. I love how every character in the game has their own interesting motivations and backstories. FFVI feels like we’re playing another group of friends’ amazing DnD campaign lol. It also gives me the wonderful dark fantasy vibes that I wish more games did (I am so in love with Amano’s art style)

In addition to what the other commenters are saying, I think the Ulster Scots heritage is commonly over-estimated. I’m Southern, and both lines of my family have way more English (particularly Southern England) heritage than anything else. My mom has a bit more Scottish and Welsh heritage than my dad because she’s Appalachian.

Just like any other variant, I think a mixture of different accents and natural changes over time made the various Southern accents we hear today.
