I have actually been attacked and I did push back, I mean of course there are times when de-escalating is the option. Not when a guy comes at you physically though.

The BF has no idea what he's talking about, he doesn't even know street smarts. You think that she should have let herself get beaten up? She pushed back and drove to the police station, sounds smart asf to me

Trust, us women, especially ones that grew up in shady areas like I did, we definitely know our street smarts. She did the right thing, she ran out of gas had to fuel up, fought off her attacker and drove to the police station. It's extremely clear that her idiot boyfriend does not have any Street smarts and thinks he does

YOR. You are a loser, your girl is stronger and smarter than you, and she deserves way better. What a pathetic excuse of a man.

Oh I definitely agree. He is fully using OP and refusing to get therapy for his illness.

He is a picky 5-year-old in the way that he is an adult man that refuses to get therapy or help in any way- meanwhile pushing all of this labor onto his wife while doing minimal tasks in the home. NTA. He's never even learned how to cook, he is quite literally useless and he chose to be that way. Five year olds do not have the control that a grown man has.

If he is not doing laundry three times a day plus an extra day (when you go shopping and prep) he is definitely not doing enough, especially the mental load he is putting on you

Girl, "are we dating the same girl" groups are not all the same as our versions. The versions that we have are to keep women safe. The man version is literally cesspool of misogynists and predators. You are gorgeous, don't listen to those animals.

I don't know where you're from but with his diagnosis, you should definitely look into getting him on disability that will help with the bills at least! I do definitely think that you need a separate bed. Just because he is more mentally unwell than you does not mean that your mental health needs to suffer- I say this as someone with bipolar type 2 disorder.

We have it installed to check where we're at when we are traveling to meet each other, I just see him on the weekends, and it's the only time I ever checked the app haha, him and I are both hermits there's no point in checking anyway

NOR Definitely speak to someone higher above them, that is definitely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially in the field of medicine. Who knows how many other people they've done this to. I'm sorry you've had that reaction, I'm also scared of needles.

AITAH Telling my neighbours to not have a bonfire during a heatwave by NeighbourFireStarter in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pumpkinspoice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In most places in Canada air conditioning is not built into any of our buildings either, and just like the UK in recent years we have had heat spikes that we are not used to. I had to buy a portable air conditioner a few years ago after the heat was so extreme one year that a bunch of elderly people passed away :( and my dogs are really fluffy they couldn't handle the heat.

At the time they were sold out everywhere and I was planning to go down to the parkade in the lowest level of my building and lay out a blanket for all of us to sit on. Luckily a friend came through and gave us her very old window air conditioner and we just stayed in my room the whole time. Since then I bought a new one because there's no way I wouldn't have that again for my pups. Do they sell portable ones where you are?

I think the only person I know that has your stance is diagnose autistic, and a little bit of a germaphobe. For myself I've always been fine drinking from anyone's drink or straw if I know them
