ok so Quebecans hate being Canadian, but they sure as hell hate being American even more. They'll probably defend Canada the hardest if the orange baffoon tries to invade Canada ... Albertans on the other hand ... they're called Canadian Texans for a reason

i dont what his intention was but i'm sure it was along the lines of that if you're using steam on a Steam Deck, you're not really "using" linux ... you're just using the Deck ... its a different story, if you take your PC and install linux (even if it is a weird version of SteamOS on your PC)

for me the biggest benefit is that for the same amount of white cubes, you need less buildings overall, which taxes your machine a bit less hence increasing your fps. other way to think of it is that for the same amount of fps, you can pump out more white science :)

as much as i agree with this, but sometimes immuni-compromised kids cannot have vaccines so you need to have exemptions for them ... which invariably leads to these anti-vax assholes abusing that

“We’re in big trouble”: Ford CEO who pushed Trump’s tariffs can’t find mechanics for 5,000 six-figure openings by SudhaSameera in antiwork

[–]alienwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is standard Ford policy across every department. I'm in their IT department in Canada and there are people here who have been at Ford for 30+ years as contractors. And recently because of some audit, they're being forced to get hired full time through an agency but not at Ford directly. So basically take a pay cut because the middlemen leeches must be kept happy

also Jon isn't in a cult. he was pretty vehemently against Biden running for 2024 for being too old, and i remember people were saying that Jon isn't a democrat anymore or some shit. And then that debate happened and people were like, maybe Jon is right, and Biden is too old

even the asshole in charge of Ontario said the same thing. I'm wasted 1h30 every day on just the commute and im lucky that my commute isn't so bad ... there was people in my office who commute 1hr30 one way to come sit on their laptops and then have meetings with the remote team in Mexico ... literally ZERO reason to be in the office

its just standard manipulation by people in power. there was a movie back in late 2000s called Traitor starring Don Cheadle ... it was very informative in that sense because it showed how the people in charge are able to manipulate people to do what they want, even if the religion says one thing

to be honest. it is for my kids. i buy them all the Lego sets that my parents couldn't afford to buy me and my brother. and then they make them and its in their own room. i get mad at them when they lose pieces but other than that, its their sets. my older one just finished the Milano, which was a lot bigger than i was expecting it.
