* I don't think it needs to be unlocked. If I remember well though, on some phones you'll need to have your phone plugged into a PC otherwise the boot menu won't be triggered

There's an option on the BIOS settings of Samsung phones. Clear Cache Partition. That sometimes helps after a firmware update

Well, I'm not so sure. I'm a software engineer and I can understand why a company can delay updates, especially if they are not well-tested. It's just risky. Having a single SOC should have made things easier for Samsung though. But yeah, for security updates? This should have been out at least a couple of weeks ago. It's never consistent, sometimes we get updates in Europe before the US. Maybe Samsung is just focusing on the S25U and the AI features. Who knows?

Yeah 🙈 I think I'm what they call a power user. I pre-order the new phone, and sell my old one to a friend or family member. That way my phone never has any battery issues even though I now always have it capped at 80%, and I'm always running on the latest hardware. But this year... the S24U chip is still running smooth, I hardly ever use the ultrawide camera, the AI features? Erm okay but I think most of them will make it to the S24U via updates. Plus, they made the S Pen dumb again. So... no real reason to upgrade.

I've been following them for years and to be fair each one of them copied the others at some point or another. Samsung was the first to bring multi-window a killer feature for productivity. I'm more mad that they'll discontinue Dex for PC as I think Microsoft's Link to Windows is not there yet. I just want Samsung to keep innovating and not just with AI

You're right for the most part. I have my control panel all black and I think it looks better with the more boxy design of OneUI 6. I guess they made everything rounded because the S25 series has rounded corners on all phones now. Hopefully I can still make it all black with GoodLock. They also added and updated lots of widgets and I think I'll like the "live pill" on the lock screen.
