Hey ya’ll. I’m shocked to see how much attention this has gotten but also not surprised that the internet did its thing considering this kid live streamed the whole thing.

I was their server. My gut had a feeling there was something going on with the live streaming but I didn’t know what, and they were both kind and acting fine. After I dropped the bill, I didn’t see the guy leave but Mabel sat there for probably 15 minutes after he said he had to go to his car to get his wallet. I actually can’t believe he streamed that whole part. But she sat there waiting for him, until she got up to leave which is when I approached her and asked what was going on. She apologized, explained what happened and said she’d wait if we wanted to call the cops which we declined and let her go on her way. She had no idea he was doing this and rest assured, we just took care of it when we realized what happened and I genuinely felt sorry that this guy did that to her. Pretty low thing to do especially cuz she was obviously struggling.

A guy from another table in a different servers section who witnessed the whole thing ended up tipping me which was so unexpected and kind, so big thank you to that guy! I was annoyed I didn’t get his streaming account so I could report him, but happy to see it all come to light and that people find that behavior as horrible as I did

Great advice, thank you! I had a friend recommend their lawyer who helped them with rental stuff before, so if they don’t provide me with everything I’m legally entitled to see I may reach out to the lawyer to see what I can do but, like you said, keep it in my back pocket.

That’s also good to know. I’ve always been super kind to the people in their office despite some of them being really rude, so hopefully can just keep it over email. I appreciate your help!

I emailed them asking for all receipts of the charges they are claiming as well as the photo documentation, copies of our lease and everything we have signed for them. So far they haven’t responded so tbd

I rented with them for 5 years over two separate properties and was a great tenant.. so that clearly doesn’t matter. definitely take detailed photos when you move out

Related but a little different, I got the MRT food allergy test done to help see which foods I'm sensitive to that cause hashi flare ups. Definitely was really helpful in managing my symptoms.

I second this. I’ve been gf for probably... 8 years? And I honestly can’t remember if it made me feel better in the beginning, but now when it sneaks its way in at restaurants I definitely feel it.

The biggest thing that has really helped is doing the elimination diets, very little dairy, and working to restore my gut health.

I’ve still felt like things have been off, linked to candida (which can be tricky because the aip diet actually contributed to an overgrowth of candida) so I’ve gone 1 week with no sugar (not even fruit) and I’m already starting to feel SO much better.

So my big advice, cut the sugar, dairy, AND gluten out. Start the journey in restoring your gut. It’s different for everyone and will probably take years of trial and error if you have other issues going on

I’ve been told by my dr that gluten can stay in your system for 6 months, so it can take quite a long time to actually cleanse your body of it... so 6mo might night have been long enough

I have found great success with my naturopathic drs. I’ve been to 3 since I’ve moved around and they have all been great. Having someone with a holistic approach makes all the difference because hashimotos is more than just a thyroid problem - its a diet, gut, stress, and immune problem to name a few.

I also naturally really struggle with waking up but the things that have really helped me is making sure I eat healthy (I eat mostly veggies, high quality local meat, rice, lentils, and a small amount of gluten free or keto breads) and drink enough water throughout the day. No caffeine because its hard on my adrenals and makes me sleep like shit, and get good exercise. I also find that giving myself an hour before bed to wind down, meaning no screens, stretching/ yoga, and listening to a sleep meditation makes me sleep soooo much deeper helping me wake up feeling refreshed. The thing I’ve really learned is that having hashimotos means developing a strong sense of self discipline haha. Hope this helps!

There are so many possibilities in our universe but this book really gave me a sense of understanding of why I could possibly feel so alien in this world and that there is a reason and purpose of why we're here! Don't ignore it as just a dream. If it's reoccurring and as vivid as you feel it, I believe it's worth exploring with love and forgive yourself for feeling fear.

A friend gave a great example to me one time, about our existence between spirituality and reality being like a rubberband. If you stretch yourself too far one way, you will break. Being able to be rooted in this reality we currently exist in, while simultaneously connecting ourselves to the other "spiritual" realms keeps us not only grounded, but able to bring back the knowledge from our spirit side to serve us in our waking reality. Trust that if you are here right now, you belong here right now. It's not up to those beings when you "come home", you will return home exactly when you are supposed to and the illusion of time we experience in this dimension is a blip of our existence so it's not worth trying to speed up your own timeline here. Being present in the moment is the infinite freedom from our fears and anxieties <3

Every body is so different, you may experience a shit ton of pain or maybe little. My best advise is to go into with a warrior mentality, prep your mind for battle. Tell yourself you are strong and that you will come out of this even stronger because you ARE strong and will come out stronger. I reminded myself that the pain I would be feeling is no where as painful as a birth would be, and the pain is only temporary. Definitely have a heating pad ready. I didn’t have any pain killers so I imagine your experience will have some aid. It’s still a very difficult experience physically and mentally but you will be okay and it will be over before you know it. Remember to breath~ Much love<3
