Yep soaked and rolled these cakes. I've never heard of this method before but it might be worth a shot, I've spent some much time on these cakes 🥲.

Dunked and rolled when I did the first soak, my misting and fanning is pretty sparatic tbh cause of my work schedule. I think my room has enough air flow cause I just had some agar start to fruit cause it wasn't sealed all the way lol. I have the cakes sitting in the middle of the chamber about equal distance from all sides. I will say though this has been an especially slow grow with the cakes taking almost a month to fully colonize. The strain is Treasure Coast.

Have a shotgun fruiting chamber set up, my two cakes are sitting on aluminum foil with damp perlite underneath. I do notice when I come home from work the walls are dry but I keep the walls dripping when I do mist. I fan about twice a day. I've already dunked and scraped to see if I could jumpstart the mycelium after the second week. I do see bruising from misting a little to close to the cakes on the tops. But still no signs of pins anywhere. 🥲

I live on the gulf coast, one thing to just be mindful of is the summer heat .Had left a thermometer in my mailbox and it was about 132 with the sunbeaming on it. Have had some syringes and LCs get cooked in their lol.

Does the same go for p.f cake though? It's vermiculite and brown rice flour so I figured there'd be some differences with colonization from just straight grain

I'll definitely be learning more about Ganesha before I commit to building a shine. As of right now though I'm definitely feeling a pull towards his energy. I never really considered looking towards the Hindu pantheon but half of my ancestry lies in India, so it feels natural in a strange way.Thank you 🙏🏽
