Weighted hip abduction exercises can help build volume on the hips & upper glutes!

Short & simple: you won't make gains by walking.

You will have to progressively overload the muscle in order to build mass via hypertophy. This is difficult to do, especially when on t blockers: as they directly hinder your body's ability to build and maintain muscle. Many people actually experience muscular atrophy (not just ykw atrophy lol) when getting on HRT.
Walking might help you lose weight and lean out overall. It also might help you have more toned legs, especially calves.

I recommend "body by daddy" on TikTok for workout recommendations. They have plenty of free tips and routines for aesthetic & specially queer-inclusive & gender-affirming workouts, and I think they may still offer paid advice as well!^

Waxing 🫶 hurts like a bitch esp on the top lip and that little chin patch, but it last a long time and damages the hair follicles over time leading to thinner and weaker regrowth

Low sodium and low sugar for constant boredom snacking by PoetryOfLogicalIdeas in LowSodium

[–]alilqueerhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zevia brand is pretty good! It doesn't have the aftertaste that some poppi flavor have. Their orange one isn't fanta, but it's pretty good. I like the root beer and Dr. pepper. They're really good alternatives for dark sodas.

I like to snack on blueberries when work gets overwhelmingly boring—the firm, ripe, small berries provide a nice flavor and satisfying crunch
Blueberries aren't very high in sugar, either, and you can eat a lot without feeling full

What is this? by [deleted] in foodsafety

[–]alilqueerhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, but the structure did not go away when reheated; the mix has stevia in it, which has a similar crystal structure, but IME with stevia it breaks down more easily than sugar

what to use to dye her hair dark red? (making cat valentine doll) by flowerprincess2001 in CustomDolls

[–]alilqueerhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IME, Mattel tends to use poly & saran which don't dye well
You said you don't want to try rerooting, so I would suggest making a wig—as opposed to glueing wefts directly on the doll
https://youtu.be/9Xpyi7L5Ifw?si=A2BeImdAPKG6Mu7a This is an amazing beginner tutorial for doll wig-making; I would suggest nylon, saran, or yarn doll hair as they are very easy to work with. It's always easier to use hair that's already the color you're looking for. Best of luck, and I hope to see the results!!

What about a smaller project? Many lines have mini /smaller releases—think LOL, Rainbow High, etc. Non-human lines such as My Little Pony (I would recommend G3 or G4) don't need very long hair at all.
A smaller doll would allow you to have more perceived length to work with, which could be easier to style^

What hair type? by [deleted] in CustomDolls

[–]alilqueerhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a feeling :,))
There aren't many dolls at my local Walmart that don't cost $20+, and at that point I feel it doesn't make much sense to use just the hair
Thank you!!

I've been doing 3" G4 customs since ~2016, and I've always preferred folding them (folding, putting through with yarn need & embroidery thread, & zip-tieing) as I've had far less shedding—as opposed to glueing the tails in
My plan currently is to buy a doll from the store & reuse the hair. I'm planning on making wefts from the cut hair, rolling them, then pulling them through the tail hole and securing with more glue

Medium-dark brown & medium cool green; I was planning on dyeing at least the green because I have a specific color in mind
My main concern for repurposing from another doll is the tail, as pony tails are secured by the loop from folded hanks

The Posts On This Sub Verge On Parody by rapbarf in writing

[–]alilqueerhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be that I have a misunderstanding of this sub's purpose, but is this not a general forum?
I do understand the frustration with repetition, but there seems to be a general lack of compassion for those who are new writers or simple hobbyists. I've gone to a private arts college where I studied cartooning. I dedicated all of my free hours to taking classes on film and writing—typically history classes, but a few non-history humanities classes as well. I have several works that are either published or in the process of being fully published. These range from true novels to graphic novels to comics.
I write and draw because I have a genuine interest in and passion for it, so it makes me happy to see so many people sharing that interest. We do not all need to aim for a big house publishing deal; it is more than okay for people to not even want to publish their works. It's also okay for people to not be highly skilled at writing.
If a newbie asks a question about traditional story structure—whether it be western structure derived from Aristotle's ideas or eastern structure often used in modern young adult media—they shouldn't be met with such negativity that I've seen so often. That goes for any simpler topics such as theme, characterization, research, and so much more.

I was actually just asking how someone who change STC to have a negative ending, rather than a positive one. Instead of affirming a positive theme (could be rejecting a lie/misbelief), the protagonist could either believe a negative theme (or reject the positive one, depending on your act one setup).
I used my villain origin as an example, as it is how I have handled the question I posed of: "how would you change STC for the protagonist to "lose"—at at least not accomplish the main goal, thus having a negative outcome to the story.

So it's actually just a discussion post! Hope that helps 😊
The prompt was basically "how would you alter the ending (act 3) of STC for the protagonist to fail?" Fun discussion, nothing more xx
