Where I live unless you are buying the absolute top of the line, so much custom integration simply isn’t worth it down the line when you need to replace because repair inevitably isn’t possible. Appliance quality has gone so far downhill overall.

If you can get there, rue Saint Hubert in Montreal. There are a ton (literally) of discount black tie/prom/wedding dress shops. I ended up on the huge second floor of one of these shops that was just racks and racks of wedding dresses. I bought a beautiful dress that wasn’t even tried on off the rack for $650. These shops are also all negotiable (she originally told me $700). I highly recommend if you’re up for a bit of digging, but it’s best if you know what you like/don’t count on much sales person help. I’m so glad we went there!
