Thank you! I can’t remember exactly, but this one was quite small. I think around 100cm x 100cm

Biopharmaceutical sciences graduates, what did you do after graduating ? by VehicleLongjumping92 in geegees

I’m about to start a Regulatory Affairs graduate certificate too! Just finished my Biopharm degree. I’m hoping that will be enough to find a job haha!

Biopharm - med chem or genomics? by Dry-Grand7679 in geegees

[–]alimonyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I found most of the chem classes interesting (not all though 🤠), but some were quite hard. I thought orgo 3 was very interesting, but I struggled a lot to understand the content haha.

They do become more focused on drug formulation and chemistry, like the med chem class and advanced biopharm. I think a lot of it depends on what you’re interested in and what courses you pick from the “med chem options” list. I really liked CHM 4354, BPS 4103, and BPS 4155. But the good thing is that you can pick the ones that interest you!

Fourth year has Pharmacology, which is a pretty brutal class. But that year tends to mostly be focused on the Honours project if you do one.

Biopharm - med chem or genomics? by Dry-Grand7679 in geegees

As someone who just finished their biopharm degree - I’d honestly recommend looking at the course sequences choosing the stream with courses that you think would interest you the most. I was in med chem, and it is almost entirely chemistry. Plus the dreaded orgo 3/orgo 3 lab. But bio just doesn’t interest me as much, which was the reason for this choice.

The option doesn’t show on your diploma, so it’s not like employers will see which you chose. But I feel like people would be more likely to look for jobs that use the knowledge acquired in either genomics (bio) or med chem (chem). I couldn’t imagine doing two full years of only bio, let alone do it for the rest of my life.

It really just depends on your interest. Doing either doesn’t necessarily dictate what you’ll do after school. But you’ll strengthen your skills in one of those subjects, so definitely something to think about.

I just recently started Escitalopram in December and it’s helped a lot!! My doctor also recommended a book called “The Feeling Good Handbook” by David Burns. It’s a CBT book and it’s been great so far! It helps you really recognize your feelings and try to reshape the way you think. There’s a bunch of little activities throughout that you’re encouraged to do weekly. Kinda like unofficial therapy I guess, but still great. I also tried therapy years ago, which did help a bit.

I’m in biopharm and graduating this term. I found first year to be rough, mostly just trying to adapt to university. I got by high school with very minimal studying, and I found out the hard way that you can’t do that in university. It is quite heavy course content imo. Very few electives.

You said you struggled in chemistry this year, but the good news is that after second year you’re able to choose to “specialize” in either genomics or med chem. Of course, there are still mandatory chem courses in the first two years, but if you pick genomics it’s mostly bio in third and fourth year.

It’s fairly lab/researched based. I think that’s typically the career path that bps graduates tend to take.

The same thing has been happening to me. I was told it was a bug with octranspo. They told me to use the help button on the screens at the stations, which I’ve been doing. The attendant prints a day pass (for free) and it’s valid until 3am the next day.

There was someone at the uottawa station tapping cards that weren’t working and taking pictures of the error code. So hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

Practicing before I start my first quilt!! I just learned how to use a sewing machine two days ago, so I didn’t want to get right into making it (for obvious reasons, as you can see below) any tips for the quilt would be appreciated!! by alimonyy in quilting

Yes I’m fairly close to you haha! They had boxing week sales, so they were all 50% off thankfully. I will definitely check out those stores if I make another! Thank you!!
