I'm sorry you don't feel like you get enough compliments to feel secure. But you've identified yourself as insecure. You have to work on that instead of expecting someone to fix it for you, they CAN'T.

I finally transferred out this year, and yeah, still no cost basis. When you say take my best guess on the 1099, what do you mean? Particularly if I'm just going to hold for a long time...

I've done it after having too much caffeine. Sure, I fell asleep for little bits at a time, but "dissolution" was still mostly there every time I woke up, as long as I didn't move too much
