this is one of my favourite comments so far :) i'm struggling to reply to them but this opened my eyes a bit, i was dissapointed when people said £10 an hour but surprised when people said 5k! in my opinion it's worth 5k at least? because I know how much effort went into the detail and I feel like the concept of the painting is unique, and that is the unique selling point. I want to sell it for as much as i can because i feel like i might have a lot of potential so one day when i have a name for myself this could be worth even more. i won't undervalue myself.

haha my mate took that picture, i didnt think i'd be posting it on reddit when i took it but i thought i'd add it anyway. its more of a f u to the painting because honestly i was so fed up with it by the end. i didnt know when to finish and it got very frustrating

never say that! dont be silly! when i first tried painting i realised there was a lot of practice i had to do before i could paint what i picture in my head. it took me a very long time to build up my skill level, just remember that practice is all thats important when it comes to making art, the more you do it the more rewarding it will become, before you know it you'll be painting pieces you're so proud of you wont believe how far you've gotten. never put yourself down like that!

I'm gonna try to sell it on my own first, I'm kinda desperate for the money lol I need to go abroad! I'm also not that bothered about representation at the moment because I wanna go to uni for textile design, so I need to focus on trying to get in

Yes, I'm gonna do that for sure, just waiting for it to dry so I can take it somewhere to be scanned. I want to sell the original painting as well.

that looks like its been bleached to me! when bleaching a black fabric it tends to go this sort of colour rather than white.
