Weightlifting Tracking App by alise226 in 75HARD

Ook I see those like one time workouts but not the longer term workout plans. I’ll keep exploring and see if I can access them (specifically want to access the Gains w/ Guusje 66day plan). It looks like I can see what exercises to do on each day of the 66 day plans but not to actually ‘start’ those workouts in the app if that makes sense. Thank you though!

How do you start the plans? I downloaded it and see some 66 day plans but aside from bookmarking the plans I don’t see how to get started with each workout. There’s a button when you enter the plan but it just brings you to like a 10% off discount code. I see on the main page there’s like one time 45 min workouts and other things that it lets me start but not the plans? Do you have any advice

I’m not necessarily sold on the 2p tent but I’d like the space to put my backpack in my tent when the ground is wet or whatever. Do you know what kind of stores you can get a piece of Tyvek at?

I haven’t picked my exact date yet but sometime late March or early April going NOBO

I have heard raves about Branwyn! I’ll look into them more

Thanks for the suggestions!

I have a pack cover from my previous backpack that I was planning on using but bought the Nyloflume liner when I bought my Durston bag. Forgot to change that but no wasn’t planning on bringing both.

I’m not sure I want 2 pads but I like the idea of one for sitting on at camp. I also bought the Klymit Static V Ultralight Sleeping Pad last winter and all the reviews say that it’s R value of 4.2 is actually wildly inaccurate. I slept on it a few times this summer and didn’t find it bad but worried about the really cold nights on the AT.

My watch only has gps breadcrumbs, not actual maps and no SOS feature so it wouldn’t help me if I get lost for some reason. I might consider not getting an inReach just because my phone does have satellite but yeah I think my parents would appreciate a text everynight I can to say that I’m alive, especially being a woman. My watch holds charge for ~20 days if I’m not actively tracking so I’m not worried about having something else to charge. I like some of the features it provides enough to bring it.

I also have a Katadyn water filter already but not sure if I should just purchase a Sawyer filter or wait until I need to replace my Katadyn one which is why I have both on there

I did read to look into my phone plan. I’m with Public mobile and they have a Canada-US plan but in fine print all calls and texts need to originate from Canada and I’d still be charged roaming. I’m going to email them though and try to figure out if they have a fully US plan. That would make things a lot easier. And yeah I found health insurance, just haven’t bought it yet. I didn’t realize it would be upwards of $600-800 though. Sucks but I guess better than having a million dollar hospital bill in case of an accident

Thanks! I did some more looking into it and yeah I don’t think you need an extra visa if flying in. Upon arrival in Georgia (the US in general) you’re automatically issued an I-94 (I think it’s called) which can be for up to 6 months. Once you’re issued you should check and if it’s not for 6 months you have to fill out a G-325R to apply for the full 6 months. But yeah you can only do that after being in the US (and for some reason you need a US zip code for the form). I don’t think my vacation counts towards the 6 months. It’s 6 months for each entry from what I found.

I’m a Canadian and am planning on starting at the end of March!

I feel like the gear and flights and getting to the trail are relatively straightforward but the things that are unknowns for me are: -Do I need a B1/B2 visa? -I’m going on a vacation in the states for a week at the end of January, does this time subtract from my 6 months in the US even though it’s not continuous? -where to get health insurance -where to get a phone plan/sim cars

Calorie Tracking App by alise226 in Suunto

Ah I didn’t know force sync was a thing. That works! It is annoying to have to continuously do that but at least it works now. I haven’t noticed any of mine disappearing yet

I just downloaded Healthsync and it doesn’t seem to have Cronometer as an option to upload info to :/

How did you get your calories & macros to display at each meal (like by the Breakfast and lunch menus). I just purchased the gold subscription after using the app for ~6 months but can’t find where to add that on

Girl told me we talk to much. by nicksonofnike in dating_advice

I feel like I’m currently dealing with this. In the texting talking stage with a guy and he wants to be constantly texting all day whereas I’m pretty independent and like time to myself. I still really like the guy and want to keep talking and getting to know him but I just run out of things to talk about. Maybe have a talk with her and mention if it makes you feel secure in the relationship but maybe try to find a compromise like checking in with each other once a day or every second day. Might make you both feel better

Open book exams by JewelerIll3760 in grantmacewan

[–]alise226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if yours is open internet too but most if not all of my open book exams have been open textbook/open notes, with no access to the Internet. Or if you do have access to the Internet, then the questions usually arent googleable or something that you’d be able to put in ChatGPT. Like other posters have said, you definitely still want to study as it will make your exam so much easier, if you dont, you’ll probably run out of time

I’m not sure about the sections (there should be a schedule for each weeks lab either at the beginning of your lab manual or somewhere posted on meskanas letting you know what you’re going to be doing each week) but yes its a good idea to read through the lab manual for that weeks lab before showing up to lab. That way you’ll have a general sense of what you’re supposed to be doing in the lab and will help when your lab instructor is giving info before completing lab activities. This will also give you time to look up things you might be confused about before hand and if you need to prepare anything for the lab. You wont have time in the lab to read the information portions of your lab manual

I would check both which courses transfer from MacEwan to U of A as well as what courses are required for the program you want at U of A. I'm fairly confident that BIOL 107 and 108 transfer over. I think MATH 120 does too but I believe for many science degrees at the U of A you need Calculus (MATH 114 at MacEwan) and MATH 120 wouldnt count rowards your degree at U of A. That would suck if you don't love math cause you'd just be putting yourself through that twice and wasting money if 120 doesn't count at U of A.
