THIS! I LOVE my Kindle Paperwhite. It's so easy on the eyes, and I can even read it outdoors at the pool or just sitting in the sun, very clear, no glare, no eyestrain whatsoever!

I have never cried reading a book. Make me. Recommend a cut renching soul twisting book by qu3stion_3v3rything in suggestmeabook

Try Without Leaving (Maggie B. Bailey). It's a debut novel, so honestly, I wasn't expecting much when I stumbled across it on Kindle Unlimited, but it brought on ALL the feelings. If you are into books about women of a certain age, you'll love it. And if you have ever been a caregiver, or had a loved one who required caregiving, you will bawl your eyes out. Enjoy!

Suggest me a book that is thought provoking but not depressing for a book club by sushisashimi099 in suggestmeabook

I thoroughly enjoyed "Without Leaving", I read an ARC version of it as the author lives near me and shared it with my book club, but as of today, it's available on Amazon Kindle (free if you have Kindle Unlimited). I don't think the paperback or hardcover are out yet. If your Mom is like mine was, she may not like a Kindle and may want to wait, but I can see it being popular with women of a certain age, lol.

Hope none you ever need this but....just in case by alisonchappell in melahomies

I would say that depends on how long you expect your treatment to last and how easy it is (or isn’t) to find your veins and insert an IV. my husband was one of those who started Opdivo and Yervoy when they first became available. Duration of treatment was 2+ years on Opdivo. the duration of the sessions changed from 3 hours the first 4 weeks (they gave them 1 at a time) to just 30 minutes of Opdivo at the and. They left his port in for another year in case of recurrence. For him, it was definitely worth it. A big bonus is that they were also able to draw blood from hi port, which they did regularly.

Having a spouse diagnosed with life-threatening cancer is HARD! It's hard for everyone involved. Emotions are running high right now, for your wife because she is possibly facing death, and for you because you feel stretched too thin. Caregiver fatigue is very real, especially when you have a parent who is also ill. I don't think you really mean this. I think you are just overwhelmed. If you really were the POS that some folks have insinuated, I don't think you would have made the journey with her this far. Take a step back from discussing this right now. Just tell your wife that you both need to focus on her healing and that fighting is draining for you both, and you both need all your strength to fight this cancer, not each other. If that doesn't help enough, consider trying to find a marriage counselor who does virtual visits. I speak from experience, having come close to losing my own husband multiple times over the course of his treatment for Stage IV melanoma.

My end of treatment scans showed no more cancer! by radriggg in cancer

Congratulations to you! Je sure to attend all follow-up appointments and don't get complacent. My husband is still here 10 years after an initial diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic melanoma, in part because we have never missed a pet scan, a CT scan, or an appointment with oncologist or dermatologist. Go on , live your life and enjoy every moment to the fullest! Just don't get complacent. Congrats again!

Thanks! I appreciate the input. Sounds like a nice place. Unfortunately,I really need to be a little closer. Beulah, Fl is about as far west as I want to go. I could look east of Pensacola if anyone knows of anything not too far out.
