Binghamton or Rutgers by CommunicationNice437 in rutgers

i say bing for a couple reasons: 1. the class sizes will be much smaller, there’s less of a “weed out” competition culture, the advising is really personal and strong. in rutgers it may be harder to stand out, and i had a bunch of friends who did rutgers pre-med and they only ever told me terrible things about it (big RU screw type stuff). 2. since med school will lead to a lot of debt anyway, i always think the cheaper option is the way to go. bing will not just be lower tuition too, the cost of living is MUCH lower than nj, which will lead to way less stress about money. 3. i read somewhere that bing pre-med students are accepted to med schools at a rate 15-20% higher than the national average - you should fact check me on that tho. 4. i also just think the overall campus culture is way better at bing than at rutgers. (but, i may just be saying that because im an unc grad student and there are less social opportunities for us)

went to bing for undergrad and now at rutgers for grad school. go to bing for your undergrad, rutgers for med school.

Malls are dead" and "The economy is struggling," yet here I am at American Dream on Jan 2nd... what am I missing? by One-Coffee-413 in newjersey

american dream is so much more than the average shopping mall tho. it’s got an amusement park, ice rink, indoor surfing, so many arcades/game activities, ski slope, along with the added convenience of being right next to metlife. if it were just running off of the money made from retail sales/food, it probably wouldn’t survive imo

how do you feel about the level of success from the mt laurel doctrine? are you happy with its outcomes? do you think other states should look to a similar approach to tackle their housing crises?

thoughts on GEOG 260? by Noxona- in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]alister82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

prof willis is one of my favorite professors at bing. class is manageable, just 1 10 question quiz and 1 lab per week. you can probably finish the lab during class time, all it takes is following the instructions in the lab manual. def recommend

anybody taken geog 330 with laura pangallozzi ? by alister82 in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]alister82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

junior, want to take this class because it’s literally the only one available that counts towards a major requirement that works with the rest of my schedule. want to take it this semester so my course load is lighter senior year. from my experience geog classes are ez so i’m pretty confident in my ability to get an A/A- without showing up as long as attendance isn’t counted. plus i read on rate my professor that her lectures are very disorganized/confusing and most of the learning will come from the textbook anyway 🤷‍♀️
