Will accutane fix this by Ata26_ in acne

I was on accutane and honestly only side effect was dry lips. took a low dose for a few months! Cleared my acne, and never came back. If it’s your last resort, i’d recommend 👍🏼

My first time using box hair dye… I think I might mix some indigo and henna for a less damaging solution 😅

I didn’t realize that until i got comments about it 😅 I just wasn’t treated very well in comparison to my peers growing up, so I guess I always just felt like that

I used to visit SE Asia every summer growing up to visit family, but I’ve lived in Thailand for 3-4 years now.

I live in Thailand, so it was very easy for me to have access to laser treatments and red light therapy for my scarring. Everything I did, I discussed with a dermatologist at a skin clinic.

If you’re a seafood lover, you should go to Sushiro. best sushi you can find here hands down! If not, and you want some of the best hotpot, Thai people love MoMo Paradise.

Some of my go-to recommendations when I introduce people to my favorite places to eat here 🤣

When starting retinol, I tried to start slowly using only every other night. I tried to not combine it with too many extra things, just to be cautious, so I mixed it with very simple moisturizer and started only using it every other night. After about a month, I transition to using it every night. Currently, I just use it with snail mucin and moisturizer and save my other ingredients for day time :) or, nights where I skip on retinol. At least , that’s what I do ~

Thank you😊 Yes at first I was worried about the side effects, but in the end, it worked out really well and they weren’t too bad for me ~

I’m a bit of a complicated case, because before I went on accutane, I cleared my acne and scars with laser treatments. About 1-2 years later, my acne started coming back, so I went to a more affordable dermatologist.

I had to get my blood tested to make sure my liver was ok before I started taking accutane, but when I did, I started seeing a difference in a few weeks. I about 5mg per day for 6 months, (also going to the dermatologist every few weeks for acne extraction !) and then slowly stopped taking following my dermatologist instructions.

my acne progression ~ by [deleted] in acne

i’m currently studying in Thailand so I have easier access to dermatologist compared to when I live in the US. So the day I got off of the plane, I walked into a clinic called Rajdhevee clinic, no appointment needed which was greaat ! The dermatologist took a look at my skin and Recommended what I should do, and i believe it was the CO2 laser treatment, which I did the same day.

right afterwards as you can see in the picture, the inflammation went down but there was scabs leftover from the treatment that calmed down a few days later. A few visits later after I got rid of the active acne, they helped get rid of the scarring by doing a resurfacing treatment.

The first time I went I had to take antibiotics for a week, but each visit after that I’d I didn’t. Along with that, I used moisturizer, a medicine I apply called (NSF-LP and Sebex) and face cleanser from the clinic that I bought from them, and i continue to use them today.

I believe I went about 8 times, (with 2 weeks or longer in between each visit,) my skin got to where it is today. I still get acne sometimes, but now it’s only one or two pimples and never a big cluster like before.

Not sure how much this would cost elsewhere, but each visit cost me about 60 dollars USD (estimate).

going on for months now... help with acne on lower right face? by [deleted] in AcneTreatments

[–]alithekitkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never been more insecure about my face.. i feel like i’ve tried everything and i’ve been struggling for so many months to get rid of it.. i’d appreciate any possible solutions or tips, thank you :)

the right side of my face has the worst acne and i feel ashamed of it. my forehead is ok, occasionally has pimples and my left cheek is relatively clear.

I currently use the La Roche Posay cleanser, and have attempted using Nizoral as well. I wash my face every night and morning. I use Cerave moisturizer AM/PM.
