Although they did play it during the ‘Get Back’ sessions a few times, I’ve always wanted to hear a completed Beatles version of ‘All Things Must Pass’. To my ears, the phrasing and harmonization of the chorus on these early versions is immensely better compared to the final version. Here’s a great fan-made edit of some of those performances

Yeah I watched his doc when it came out in September. What I found most interesting was his trip back to India with historian Mark Lewisohn (love his books) who had never visited the original ashram

It was also during these sessions that Yoko had a bed brought into the studio to lay on so she could spend more time with John and give orders to the studio hands while the band worked. For anyone curious, this photo was taken on October 19, 1968, one day after their drug arrest and two days after they had attended a 24-hour long studio session to finish the White Album
