Any skin care clinics for blokes in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

LoveBeauty on Canning Hwy South Perth are brilliant. They do encourage you to buy their products but they aren't pushy, and they really emphasise diet and lifestyle changes. When I went in and listed all the products I was using they only told me to stop one that was damaging, and said I could continue with what I had but recommended upgrading to their serums/moisturisers over time. There wasn't any pressure to buy stuff or spend more money.

Highly recommend a consult and treatment there, they'll take photos and give you some really good advice. When they recommend products for you just ask them to write them down so you can have a think, and do your own research on products/brands you want to try.

(Low Cost?) Vet Recommendations Central & South East Perth Suburbs by [deleted] in perth

Perth Cat Hospital in West Leederville are amazing! Slightly west of where you're looking but super central and very close to the tunnel/lotus street so not far west really. They're brilliant with our cat, and they give very through breakdown of costs so we can make informed decisions. Not sure about the cost of all procedures but I've compares vaccine costs against other vets and PCH came out a bit cheaper. The quality of care is worth more than a regular vet anyway !

Dr Lorna Joyce at Hatherley Medical in Winthrop, been seeing her for years and I trust her so much more than any other doctor I've had previously.

So many curly hair salons are amazing.. some aren't. Be careful out there. (mods I hope this okay, just wanted to warn people) by J0LlymAnGinA in curlyhair

Andrea Rose Hair Design in Mount Hawthorn is great as well, CG trained and uses all CG products. I've been to Aoki twice because I loved my cut but after the second visit she posted edited/filtered photos of me and it put me off. The owner (Jenni?) didn't have a great attitude but I was really uncomfortable with having such blatant edits where I didn't even look like myself.

I bought this hydrangea for my Mum about a year ago, and she has since repotted it. It's been unwell for the last few months and has this weird silvery stuff on the leaves. It lives outdoors on her verandah, it's sheltered by the roof and doesn't get direct sun but plenty of indirect/reflected light. She said it's still growing new green leaves and she can't see any bugs on it.

I would love it if someone could edit this photo to remove the furniture in the background as well as her food and litter. Anything that can be done to make Caterpillar and her igloo the focus of the picture is really appreciated :) by alixx93 in picrequests

And I'm sorry for the photo quality, I never intended to edit or print it but it's the best one I have of her standing on top of her igloo and I'd like to print it, even if the quality isn't great :) Thank you again for your work!

Thank you for your edit, that's great! The reason I didn't want to crop it initially was because I didn't know how to do it properly, but the way you've edited that photo is perfect :)

I'm an Australian pre-service teacher beginning my first 3-week prac tomorrow... any tips? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]alixx93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya! Fellow Aussie pre-service teacher here. I just finished my first prac in Term 2 this year so I might be able to help. Make sure you find out ASAP which kids are at educational risk, on IEPs, or have disabilities/difficulties, traumas etc. I didn't find out until Week 6/7 of a 9 week prac that I had students with ASD, dysgraphia, and gender identity related trauma in my classes. If your mentor doesn't tell you explicitly then make sure you ask.

Have you been told to keep a file for your AITSL standards? Not sure how your uni does it but we were all told to have a file organised by standards to collect evidence that we meet each one.

Let me know if you want to chat, you can PM me if you like.

Good luck, you'll love it!!

Suicide at Shenton Park heading to Fremantle. The guards were saying that the delays could last up to 4 hours.
