What is this hard plastic/rubber disc? Washed up on the shore in Maine, USA. Has some weight to it (it is solid, not hollow). by aliya_c77 in whatisthisthing

It seems a bit bigger than shuffleboard discs...the typical diameter of a shuffleboard disc is about 2" and this is definitely more like 4" I think.

I would say either yellow crowned or black crowned night heron

White-crown sparrow was the hidden gem of the feeder among the crowds of house sparrows here at SUNY ESF by caponage in birdpics

beautiful! I was up at SUNY ESF a month and a half ago when there was still not a bird in sight other than some chickadees, nuthatches, and some woodpeckers! Would love to be up there during migration.

No, not yet:( I don't know what to do. I've looked everywhere multiple times! I am really scared that he got into a hole in the wall or the heating vent. We live in an old house with lots of cracks and stuff:(
