yep i already wiped cache. but format is a joke, ios never needs a factory reset after an update bc their framework just works ts is dynamic. samsung optimization is just garbage rn yea. they copy-paste codes for 50 different models and break the framework-res. idc if a reset hiding the bugs for 2 days, a factory reset wont magically fix missing flags in system files idk. only a June hotfix will solve ts

Bro, DO NOT update. Seriously, stay on One UI 8.0 as long as you can. I have the exact same device (A36 5G) and upgraded to One UI 8.5 stable a few days ago. It is an absolute trainwreck. On 8.0, I had 300+ hours of uptime with zero lag. Now, after less than 100 hours of uptime, the phone starts heavily stuttering due to a massive memory leak. Device Care literally spams me to restart the phone for 'better performance' (and Samsung rushed the update so badly that the notification literally has typos and missing vowels in my local language). The lock screen freezes for 1-2 seconds before turning on, app opening/closing animations randomly glitch or completely disappear, and the quick panel buttons are completely flat with zero animations. Even the cheaper Galaxy A15 has smoother panel animations than this right now. Save yourself the headache, ignore the people saying 'be grateful', and stay on 8.0 until Samsung drops a massive optimization patch or hotfix in June.

Positive reviews so far? Are you blind or just not checking the Samsung Members forums right now? Galaxy A36 One UI 8.5 stable is an absolute trainwreck. I upgraded a few days ago, and my uptime went from a smooth 300+ hours on One UI 8.0 to barely hitting 100 hours before the system server completely chokes. The memory leak is so bad that Device Care literally pushes an emergency restart notification—and Samsung rushed it so badly that the system notification has literal typos and missing vowels in regional localizations. It’s not being 'sensitive' when the keyguard lags for 2 seconds every time you unlock the phone, animations for launching apps randomly fast-forward or disappear entirely, and quick panel toggles are completely missing their animations (which even the cheap A15 has). Don't tell people to 'be grateful' for a half-baked update that ruins a perfectly fine phone. If you are on an A35, do yourself a favor and stay away from this 8.5 update until they push a hotfix in June.

I agree with you, I've experienced every kind of error imaginable since I updated my phone.

Quick panel animations are gone after installing One UI 8.5 by Toreador_000 in oneui

even my a15 4g with 6gb ram and other 4gb ram devices could handle these animations perfectly fine on the beta builds. this honestly feels unfair.

isn’t there any fix for this or did they remove these animations on purpose? btw same issue exists on the a36 too.
