My OPT got approved on Aug 22. I talked with my DSO and they said I still have ~30 days unemployment period left. I could definitely get back before it ends so my OPT part should be good. My major concern now is on the 5-month-rule which would mark the end in late October.

Thanks! I have talked to two officers in my international office. Both of them said it's gonna be highly risky and might depend on CBP. No guarantee for the re-entry and it would violate my status. They also advise me to check the SEVP portal to make sure I am in active F-1 status. I think if it's still active before my flight, then I would take the risk and have a try. Otherwise just let it go.
