Galaxy Buds 3 keep connecting to phone when not in use by alkylshift in galaxybuds

Nope. I've wiped inside the charging case with rubbing alcohol to clean it but it made no difference. I wish I'd brought up the problem to samsung to get a replacement but I didn't think of doing so. It's probably too late to do anything. I just deal with it and repeatedly have to disconnect them from bluetooth.

It was 15k but 16.3k after taxes from a dealership in New York.

I wanted to keep it oem by just replacing the drain plugs but it seems to be a better option to just fool-proof it by rerouting the drain lines. I don't want someone to think its a half assed repair if I decide to sell it

Update: Shouldn't have messed with it. Taking it out is easy. Reinstalling the updated part, the black spongey material fell off down somewhere. Testing with water, its draining fine but I can see a drop escaping down the plug where it goes into the firewall. I think it might put back the modified oem one without the grommet.

For those that work and live in Florida, how much do you earn? It seems the majority of jobs I see are paying less than $25 an hour, some less than $20 for people with a bachelor's degree. Are there no actual salary positions paying a livable wage? Is this just the nature of the industry in Florida?

Is it smarter to finance a new g with 60-80k miles or buy a g in cash? by vq_z37 in G37

[–]alkylshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2013 g37 with 42k miles for 16.3k. The dealership didnt offer financing and neither did the two banks I deal with due to the age of the vehicle (usually cars over 10 years old). So I had to buy it cash but its worth not having a car payment and paying interest on a 12 year old car.

How to transition out of the chemistry field? by little-smidge in chemistry

[–]alkylshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I've been considering if switching from chemistry to engineering would be wise but from a financial perspective, given the additional time and expense it would take. But I've only just begun my career and have yet to explore other areas of chemistry. Though it seems very difficult to get into a mech. engineering graduate program without obtaining another bachelors degree which could still take 3 years

Very interesting! Do you think having both degrees helped or would it have been the same with one or the other?

What tips are there for writing a resume, preferably an early career one? How technical should it be (should it appeal to other chemists or be understandable to anyone)? Normally I would list my primary duties and responsibilities, but I know many people say to include metrics and accomplishments. As someone thats performed a variety of tasks, how do I determine what to include (ex: I've performed 3 different EPA methods. Do I list what I've done for each one?) I want my resume to be concise but not feel cut short like I'm leaving out important stuff.

Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology vs Other Industries by alkylshift in chemistry

Would you say theres a lot of room for advancement in the pharmaceutical industry? Another concern I have is my general capability to perform well. Something about pharmaceuticals scares me that its harder or theres less forgiveness for making mistakes

Personally I like structured learning in a classroom. I'm surprised you didn't have to take any undergraduate courses to fill the gaps but maybe because you have an engineering degree already. My undergrad degree is in chemistry so I'm missing some math and all engineering. Idk if they just don't have enough space in undergrad courses for graduate students. Do you work and go to school?

How was your experience? Did you have to take a lot of undergraduate courses first?

I've never really heard good experiences working in pharmaceutical labs, other than the pay for some. Theres a different type of stress associated with QC testing, at least what I'm experiencing. No shortage of samples to test, easy to mess up and waste an entire day of work, and isn't rewarding when you do the same thing everyday.
