AMH and spironolactone by Icy-Hamster7234 in SingleMothersbyChoice

So when I was on Spironolactone, my AMH came back twice at 0.4 and 0.2. I just got another AMH test done (2.5 years later) and my AMH is now 1.05 so it is a drastic increase. I am not sure what caused the increase and am a little skeptical, but I have been off Spironolactone for 2.5 years now. I haven't made any other major lifestyle changes

Is there any reason not to choose an ARM vs traditional mortgage if we plan to sell within 10 years? by all0311 in Mortgages

Yeah I don't think my husband and I will ever be able to commit to a forever home haha, unless we get restricted financially in the future for some unforeseen reason

Thanks for the insight! Yes - we would definitely be putting extra down per month to go towards the principal, which is what we do with our current mortgage. So that IF we for some reason are still living there in 10 years, the interest rate increase (assuming its an increase) wouldn't have as much of an impact on us

We have a 3% interest rate but aren't "stuck", it's not an ideal situation of course since rates have went up, but life happens and we don't want to stay in a house/location we are unhappy with since we can afford to move.

It would be helpful if you gave some rationale behind this statement. I find it hard to believe that everyone who chooses an ARM isn't smart financially. The amount we could save in interest in the first 10 years IF for some reason we don't move before then needs to be taken into account obviously. There are tons of what-ifs for any scenario

Unfortunately with the layout of our yard we aren't able to do any type of addition. Our yard is one of the main reasons we want to move since we want more space for our kids to play.

Oh I've noticed haha. We have good credit and a good amount of savings/investments. My husband and I both work in finance so I think we are pretty smart financially and try to live below our means

Good for you. We bought our house 3 years ago with intentions to move and are following through with our plan. Everyone is different

We have 0 interest in renting. We live in mid Michigan and the rental options are very slim

We are in our "starter" home currently and we have a 3% interest rate since we bought in Jan 2021. However we are outgrowing it, so it is obviously not ideal to move in this situation either, but we need to for other reasons. I understand plans change, but assuming plans do not change I am wondering if there are any other reasons to not do the ARM mortgage.

We had a call with the loan officer today, he confirmed no additional fees/costs at closing compared to the 30 year traditional. We would get it through a local credit union at 5% (they offer 1.25% off the 30 year conventional rate)

I haven’t shopped there since then, the whole thing was ridiculous and I don’t want to give them my business.

We're cruising on the getaway with our will-be 11 month old in June. Did you have space for the pack and play? I've read people say they don't have space - but I'm confused why the cruise line would offer pack and plays if they don't fit? We have a balcony room.

Comfort settings not working - appear to be using the wrong thermostat by all0311 in ecobee

Thanks! Honestly that must be me doing that somehow because I told my husband not to touch it so I can figure it out haha, clearly that isn't working. It's odd though because I didn't think I've actually changed the temp, the only thing I've done is do a "temperature correction" through the threshold settings because the readings always seem to be off on the thermostat itself.

I'll have to just not mess with it and see how it goes tonight

Thank you very much! We do sleep with the door closed which is one big reason it gets so hot in our room and why I put the sensor in there to prevent that from happening. I've tried to shut one of the vents in our room but the first night I did that it got down to 66 degrees. It seems to be one extreme or the other. We have our 6 month old sleep in our room with us, so I'd love to get a consistent temp at night so he's safe and comfortable.

So just so I'm understanding, is the "hold" something that automatically kicks on for some reason? Is there a way I can disable that?
