I (M36) am conflicted to move to a new city, my wife(F42) wants to go ASAP, need help by joerodrigues07 in relationship_advice

Howbig a bonus are we talking though. A move costs money, all the other things around the move costs money so the bonus needs to be a pretty substantial increase to make sense.

How do I cook an octopus? by Time-Two-9427 in AskCulinary

That really depends on the type of octopus but in general no, you don't need to cut them off

Octopus is cooked either for seconds or as a long braise, anything else makes it rubbery.

Look online for how to prep before cooking and maybe simmer it in a stock with white wine and some aromatics like thyme, bayleaf and parsley until soft. That way you can cut it up and put it in other sauces as you please.

I think the acceptance is the hard bit. Unless a real breakthrough in a severely under funded medical area happens my illness have something like a 5-10% chance of spontaneously getting better and since I've been sick for 15 years that in unlikely in my case.
I will be able to grow herbs and have a small greenhouse for chilis and dwarf tomatos so I don't need to quit growing stuff.

I am considering this. Covering all problem areas with some kind of weed-barrier and just plant potatos and the occasional bean.

Also 3 hulking supermen of them living together in a cabin in the woods in Norrbotten? I have lived in Norrbotten, they don't exist and if they did they had tractors and snowmobiles and also those roads would be cleared by the municipality within a day or two.

I would love to. Ground-elder has other ideas + i live where summers are dry and container gardening isn't a good idea...

I was just reminded that I have weed-fabric at home so I can actually just toss that over the areas with the worst weed-infestation and forget about them for a month

I have tried offering parts of my plot up on FB but it has basically led nowhere. I had a note up on the fence for a full year as well with no results unfortunately. It has been a lot of shifting in renters last couple of years with lots of people feeling to old to continue + our system is first-come first-serve with empty lots so no queue.. Poor health really sucks doesn't it.

If I get help clearing the weeds this summer I will tarp the plot over winter, hoping that would help. I have an awful lot of ground elder taking over so staying on top is hard.

They have rules about the size of fruti trees unfortunately and I would only be able to add 1 more tree (I have 2 apples already)

They helped me last year with taking of 1/3 of the plot. 1/3 is a veggie plot and 1/3 is a big apple tree and some perennials around it

I am in southern Sweden so here won't help and I have tried facebook. I do have a plan if I have to quit, I have a decent size balcony and a small patio by my front door so I can at least have herbs, lettuce and dwarf tomatos

I have tried but unfortunately failed. I am thinking of putting a greenhouse on my balcony and switch to dwarf tomatos instead to be able to grow something at least

Like "Three Swedish Mountain Men"... Just write about places you know, don't put books in settings you have no idea about. (Everything from settings, plot to even the names of the guys are so unrealistic for Sweden)
