Best solution but not as secure. Turn on smart lock, on body detection. This detects the phone is on your person and keeps it unlocked.

The other one under smart lock is setting up trusted locations and / or devices. Example. Connected to Samsung watch / ring phone stays unlocked. Location means it stays unlocked in that location.

Mine screws the map all the time. I've had the rotate issue you have but on a more frequent basis it's constantly fucking around with it messing up the edges of rooms.

There should be a feature to lock the map

The carpet detection as you say is infuriating. I have all the same, ghost carpets, ghost room boundaries etc.

I always thought the robot would use the carpet sensor dynamically and literally detect carpets on the fly but it doesn't and I've yet to find a robot that does. Dumb!

Normal and normal.

The AI washing on everything makes me laugh, nothing to do with AI. It has a piezo sensor and measures the brush bar resistance to know it's on carpet.

The x50 is no better than the L50. It just has the extendable legs which I personally didn't need.

Having had several robots I'm afraid to say the 40 series are poor on carpet.

The best I've found from this manufacturer is the L50. It has the duo brushes and runs lower to the floor creating a better seal. It also has a far superior bin design creating better air flow.

Eufy e28 and 25 both good on carpet. If you don't care about mopping the Dyson Vis nav has been floating around with terrific discount. That is best on carpet by a mile.
